This really isn't my kind of game, but it's nicely polished, has some good strategy in there and I liked how the ragdolls broke apart and the pieces could hit the target. Also has a lot of levels and a code feature so you don't have to replay them over and over. Not bad at all.
This is a really cool platforming shooter game that is highly polished and fun to play. I liked it a lot before it got badges and I was motivated to try finishing the game, where a major flaw in the game is revealed: its checkpoint system. When you die you have to re-do large portions of the game, and it gets worse as it reaches the end. When will developers learn that being forced to re-play the same content over and over again makes players hate the game? When I play this on my old computer it runs slow and I could probably finish the whole thing like Neo without getting hit by a single shot.
While this is a simple game and doesn't introduce anything new, there are good things about it. First of all, its a cat that jumps and he meows when you die. Secondly, there are an array of control schemes to choose from as well as quality, pause and mute buttons -editundo you rock. I like games that are polished like that.
A good game, just lacking a little flair. The interface is nice and simple, the gameplay is mix of skill and strategy and there are 3 modes to play. A good pick for Buried Treasure week, I wouldn't have found this otherwise.
It takes too long to load, it's not clear what you're supposed to do when you start, the rifle moves all over the place while you are trying to aim. I realize all of these changes were probably intentional but I think it made the game worse, not better. I was so irritated by the game by the time I was able to locate a mission that I didn't really want to play any more. I used up all my ammo and then couldn't exit the mission. Ugh.
Interesting game, I liked the simple gameplay with all the little twists. People, it isn't hard. Position your chopper on the far right hand side and keep it there. You'll finish it easily.
This has limited gameplay but actually isn’t bad, the only problem is that its too easy with the upgrades and you don't really get to choose your upgrades, you just get them one after the other. I went to try again and realized there is no pause button which means this isn’t finished, I’m rating it lower than I would have due to this.
It’s obvious a lot of effort went into the storyline and cutscenes, I just wish as much time had been spent on the actual game. Sniper action was kind of weak when compared to similar games on here. I loved the newspaper bit about Bush the Idiot stepping down to let someone competent run the country. That was funny, true and very much welcome.
This game is a clone of Shark! Shark! for the Intellivision. Fish works much better with the concept than dogs. This is extremely unoriginal and uninteresting. I'm glad the badges don't require that much play time. There is nothing positive I can come up with to put on here. I think this game was 'overlooked' for a good reason. If this is buried treasure, lets let it stay buried!
While you have to commend the game for trying something a little different, I just found it to be a bore. There were some elements in there that I liked, like some of the death sequences and the interesting level designs but it wasn't enough to rescue the whole thing from mediocrity.
This is a perfect example of how a little creativity and good design can take any concept and turn it into a great game. It is well polished and packed with goals and powerups, the gameplay really works with all the different glooples and each game doesn't take too long. I do have some quibbles - I wish you could see what the awards and rewards are instead of playing at random. The bestiary isn't always that helpful when you're not sure how to kill some of those high level glooples. You can always look this information up in guides, though. So far I've found the best combo of rewards for survival to be 5 and 11, the armour and the bio-suit.
Wow I was surprised to read all the comments raving about this game, I find it insufferably boring. To be fair I didn't spend a lot of time on it, but when a game bores the heck out of me for dinner I don't stick around for dessert. In the blurb it says the game 'starts out slow', which is code for 'the game may seem boring...' I'd recommend changing that in the next one, I had no desire to play the game based on the first few minutes.
