Not a bad strategy... Your boomerang placement left the normal arc widely off the path, and relying all on bombs seems to allow a lot of yellows through... Perhaps a little change in placement and/or a few dart monkeys would make it more effective? Also, you mean road spikes, not tacks, right? Tacks are an expensive tower that is not very useful.
How about you get ammo for chains instead of with those annoying ammo blocks... I can't tel you the numberof times I almost (and did) die because a massive clod of ammo came and prevented me from making any chains...
Also, give "gaps" between a spawn of spiders and some chainmaking, so you can actuallyhave enough bullets.
I like it, but it is too easy IMO. You can just (as an archer) outrun all opponents, fire off a shot, the keep running,meaning could, in theory, beat the big uber bosszor thing (if there is one) with lvel 1 character. Also, the fact you can buy gold bracelets for 50 gold and sell them for 60 means you have infinite cash.
Snail, good job on the game. I just wish that battle mode still gave you items on the last few levels... Would have helped a lot. I could probably beat it on my next playthrough(next weekend) because I burned through a lot of items on the original final boss because I didn't know my stats could be restored afterward.
The general point of puzzels is to have only one soltion that you can't just gues. Even on your "hard" puzzels I could find at least 4 solutions for all of them. Also, don't make us useempty space, but also don't put it there if it is useless.
Ninja, any hope to implement API? If you do, I would suggest high level for each mode and lives when finished for all modes, along with cash earned(if possible). With it, we could have an easy(reach level 10 in easy mode medium(beat easy mode) hard(beat medium mode) and impossible(perfect beat hard mode, or just beat hard mode).
Great new game, much more balanced(tacks still seem kinda useless) great use of difficulty settings, love the temporarys(and shoulda used em more) and great way of making everything effective.
A tip guys: Lots of bomb towers is pretty nice. Make sure to have a bomb tower when it says you should, or else the lead ballon will bullet into your lives. Boomerang throwers seem useless at first, but once itgets fast and furious they are like more powerful, ice piercing dart monkeys and are cheaper than using the 3 dart monkeys it would take to match them.
Matchbox, greg publicly stated the 2 hard badges were a bisected impossible badge. Why? It gives more badges, it allows you to still get 60 points, but it doesn't add a new imposible badge that does not meet gregs standards(meaning he could never, unassisted, get it himself with his work schedule. With this an impossible badge, Greg would still be able to get it due to the ease, it would just take him a few months of non avid gaming).
Bland concept, boring execution, horrible hit detection, enemeis start off too strong.... The list goes on and on. I will just leave it at 2/5 for graphics (including the main character ;) )
Now that we can go forward so easily it is WAY too easy. I mean, with 40 sailors you an practically take out the entire fleet trough the game without shooting much or any.
It is really good, and funny(specially the jokes) but it has 3 problems: On some of the ones(the trauma center one especially) the mouse totally refuses to work. Also, whenever you change your cursor DURING a round, you cannot use the hint untill you get the original cursor. Finally, and the kong programmers can help you fix this, you can just hit the forward button through the rather easy challenges.
Final thing: Instead of making you appear on the middle of the side you came on, make it enter EXACTLY where you came from(so diagnal travelling, like the autopilot does, is actually useful).
Not a bad game, but if you doubled the speed of ships and turning it would be more fun. I mean, at this speed I can navigate the farthest right ship on the first level of alien ships around te missles of 5 enemy ships firing at once. Doubling ship speeds and increasing fire rates would make it tougher.
Not a bad game. For the last level glitch, even with it removed it is fairly easy to beat. Do the normal overlap to climb on the ceiling trick. However, since you can't throw above yourself, JUMP(you will go down) and throw to overlap. With a couple tries you will get it down.
