@Klasanov I've tried having the MPS calculator stuck at 0$ MPS for quite a while after ascending in the g's as well, but it returned to me everytime I earned a more steady income in the inifitium ore range. And I've seen the score update in around half an hour later than the ascension, so just be patient.

@KingGladiator88 I used my mouse for holding down the space bar for a night. After that I felt I cared a little too much about a silly game. After all, it's just a way to distract and relax myself from real life, so I should keep it down. But I keep going. I must optimize the autos. I must find the best methods. I must see what happens at +32. I must see what it's like at ascension exponentially higher than my own. The power of exponentiation keeps me hooked.

I just reached Infinitium +27 and suddenly mining went from the far cheapest upgrade to the most expensive (for advancing to the next ore). Just as I hit the 2k upgrade as well, if that has anything to do with it. Since at least Stibnite I've seen roughly the same ratio of mining being cheapest, then smelting and then forging. Some weird stuff is surely happening up here. I'm anxious to see if these are the first symptoms of the infamous +32 wall.

I understand the prefixes until yotta, but it took me some time to find out what the rest was. Apparently the rest was made up by some self-proclaimed "googologist" (someone who studies and invents large numbers) called Andre Joyce. They are not accepted as official prefixes. Here they all are: kilo mega giga tera peta exa zetta yotta Xona Weka Vunda Uda Treda Sorta Rinta Quexa Pepta Ocha Nena Minga Luma. But I think "Vunda" was actually an Y, and I'm only up to S, so I don't know if Rinta and above are right either. Does anyone know?

@EnemySkies I ascended at a few hundred at first, then at 3585 - which is still what I'm going at now and I'm at 1.6g potential ascension. I didn't ascend yet because I didn't see the need to. I know a lot of other people ascend a lot more often than that though. Since I haven't tried ascending more than that, I can't really say if you should do it more, but my experience is that ascending just makes the next time a little easier - but that you will still have to fight a bit to reach the same level as before. I've heard the difficulty rises an extreme amount at +32 ore, so I think it's best to ascend there, but I'm still a few ores away from Infinitium, so I don't know.

@minimagicman Just to make sure: You did press the "Ascend" button, didn't you? Otherwise, I don't have that bug, so you should probably report it, and your technical details through the "Game Bug" feature underneath the game window.

Since holding control in the upgrade screen now shows the cost of 10 levels, I'd like it if it would also display the power we would achieve with 10 levels.

@SirVaksghn Only if you've exported your progress into a file somewhere so you can import it. The closest I have is a 9m save you can use if you want: http://tny.cz/2d9b8bda

@rockmanjay I thought so too in the beginning. But when I reached level 100 in critical chance I realized that the upgrades actually displays the next level number, not the current. So when it says level 1, you're level 0, and when it says level 100, you're actually level 99, and upgrading it will make it say "Max".

@Baumstumpf I was as confused as chwooly about that. I just tested it and a "big box" (140 ore) is worth exactly the same as a "small box" (2 bar). I didn't realize it was just package sizes you got paid for and that the count didn't matter. But since the pay is so incredibly low I just feel like it really doesn't matter too much though, and I see the sell bar/ore option primarily as a way of clearing inventory, as it seems was requested frequently when this game was newer.

Judging from downvotes, it seems Expensive and Very Expensive are the most popular options. I'm really confused why that is. Am I missing something? To my experience, Insane gives the highest MPS, but of course only if you adjust material and item type to match the selling time. The only minor inconveniences I've found with insane is that it takes a long time between individual sales and to produce enough bars to begin the next ore item production. But I fix that by adjusting smelting output to 0.01 more than is needed when I start on a new ore. Maybe I should mention that I only switched to insane from about Stibnite. And maybe it has to do with the fact that I've barely ascended (lvl 3585)? I haven't yet understood when it's actually good to ascend, besides the infamous Infinitium +32 wall.

@Baumstumpf I understand downvoting people who ask things that only require reading game description or 5 minutes of experimenting in the game. But I'm talking about e.g. JeremyFoster giving a simple compliment or others asking questions about the game. But I admit comment sections aren't very convenient for discussing the game. It's best for reviews, armchair jokes and tips. I realize my knee-jerk reaction also came from myself being downvoted after asking a question that I truly wondered about, after playing the game for a week.

Why is almost every comment downvoted? Has that become a thing on Kongregate?

Sorry.. Now I understand why I was downvoted for saying that button upgrades were practically useless. I was wrong. It turns out I was like 30 upgrades behind the actual price matching level. And when I upgraded it to match it, even forging was decently accelerated by holding space. This was at Zettanium Gloves with 893 auto forge and 920 forge button.

@TaiJParry I really appreciate the advice. I'm aware of the selling price time scaling and focusing on price/time. I tried balancing before and found that the highest MPS were found on insane - my last test was around Orichalcum but since the price ratio hadn't changed much I assumed it didn't change. Now I just tested it with my current upgrades: Expensive 1.100z$/s (Ruby Mail of Insanity), Very Expensive 2.400z$/s (Meganium Helm of Carnage) and Insane ~7.000z$/s (Zettanium Gloves of Stars). This is only with 3.586k ascensions. What am I doing wrong?

I've found that selling at insane price gives the highest output, so I've done that since Stibnite ore. Around Orichalcum ore or so, I was forced to change to producing only swords/gloves, since forging is far more expensive than smelting and mining (since the patch that fixed mining's extreme price). Now I'm at Petanium ore and the price ratio has only increased. If I want a balanced output for the insane auto-sell price, mining is 3% of forging price and smelting is 30%. And swords are the most expensive in ores/bars. If I produce another type of items, the price ratio becomes even bigger.

I think the manual button upgrades should be a lot stronger in the later levels. I'm currently at level 800 and holding space makes practically no difference from the autos alone - and they're the same price to upgrade. I think it's been this way since at least level 500 or so. The sell button works as it should though. A suggestion would be to have it be at least the same speed of the auto, so holding space would make it double speed.

I finished level 32 by the thing in the middle that explodes and makes things black. Then it suddenly reappeared on level 33 and destroyed everyone - and then nothing happened. Every planet was just populated by the blackness (without numbers). Is this a bug?
