"...no dungeon can stop you.", but since they rise in power faster than you can gain sufficient money, they can certainly outstrip your ability to do anything in a timely manner.
Just for reference: Do not expect to see all the content in this game in a few days or even weeks. I've been playing this game on the original site for at least a year, if not 2.
I'm not going to get frustrated... I'm going to come back in a few days and see if you've fixed the "crash and lose all progress bug". I'm not even going to give you a bad rating, because the game was kind of fun... I'm just going to come back later.
it's short, but next updates will make big difference! :) If you have any idea make sure to contact us (on Kongregate or at our website www.gamzas.com) Thank you for playing!
The number one factor in any game is play-ability. If I can't, as a completely hypothetical example, see all the information I need to play the game because it's too big to fit on the screen, I can't play it, and therefor it fails at the very first step of gameplay. It might be an interesting concept, but you've got to fix the basic layout, at the very least, before any of us can find out.
I find it amusing that anyone who criticized while mentioning ratings in a negative light here got downvoted into oblivion. Hiding things you don't agree with is a sure-fire recipe for any company to have a long arduous road to mediocrity. Either that, or you've got some rabid sycophants as fans, which has about the same end result. In either case, good luck with that.
As a completionist, I'm really annoyed by leaving a chapter, but having an achievement (Reach X in all skills) that apparently depends on it. My options are either: start over and re-do chapter 1 spending a ton of extra time there, or stop playing the game and downgrade my rating. Guess which one I'm going to pick.
I realize this is an idle game, but if the beginning is like watching paint dry, you'll lose most of your players to being annoyed before they ever get around to using the system that makes the game faster. You really need to re-balance the speed in the beginning. If you have to repeatedly tell the players "No, stay, it gets better!" the problem is with the game, not the patience of the players. A public-facing game like this needs to hold players on its own merits.
At least for me, the movement is really really buggy. I often find myself halfway between two squares, and once I zoomed off the whole map into blackness. Am I the only one with the movement bugginess?
This is something I get when my CPU is very overloaded, but only in Unity edior. Sorry for that, next time I'll write something better optimized (I got this movement mechanics from unity tutorial, so i had assumed it's good...)
As someone with a science background, it really hurts my head to see 148e69, and not 1.48e71. It just... aughh! :) Solid game, though, and I like the scaling of the cargo purchases.
The finite resources issue is ridiculous. If the captured cities at least gave $1 each per tick, then there'd be some reason to wait the hours and hours to conquer some of these cities. Even at 10/sec the city with 850,000 (probably be at least 1M, by the time I get to it) is going to take an entire day to capture, but if there was a steady stream of gold coming in, I could at least keep buying upgrades. The adage of "Walking is not Gameplay" applies here. Even being an idle game, waiting for the sake of waiting does nothing for the player, if I'm not gaining anything from it. Don't just prolong the inevitable to make the game longer.
It's very goth doing all black on black, but I think actually loading the game would get better results. Did you change some deep linking in the game source, to include another site? That tends to be blocked by any of the numerous ad-block plugins.
I kept waiting for the max mana pool upgrade to come along. Then, suddenly *nerf*. If you're trying to achieve games balance, you don't do that by punishing some players to bring others into normalcy.
i'm glad you're not just condemning this game because of the first release :) but it can be weeks before a new patch is out :/
