Can we please keep the comments section about the game? I'm not one for civil policing but this immature flaming and trolling is REALLY getting on my nerves -_-
what I hate most is that this basically bastardizes one of my favourite arcade type games; raptor... Everything that was great about that game (except the ridiculous overpowered twin azure cannons, last weapon) is ruined in this game by bad balance, unnessecary elements and overall lousy gameplay.
further imbalances/ bad gameplay: Amazatron upgrade makes many bonusses not only obsolete, but a pest (ultra fire, tetra fire etc). Also, the legendary shop item that upgrades the rares, removes the effect of the black market item that makes bonusses permanent, resulting in it being a lousy upgrades. To sum it up, items dont work well together, especially the expensive ones. And others are ridiculously powerful (darkness recharge/ energy recharge item + time stop is basically a limitless time stop)
ALSO, legendary shop corrupted my save file, resetting all my hard work in trying to give this game a chance. Furthermore, 3 million drop? COME ON lol... kinda takes the fun out of some things, doesnt it? Anyway, corrupting my save file was the last straw - rating set from 3/5 to 1/5. BROKEN
playing on hard:
- gamebreaking randomness, the same level can be easy or ridiculously hard depending on what drops and spawns
- both bonusses and negative bonusses are WAY too influental. Megaton laser/invisibility/energy shield armor drops can make your life easy, for example, while I died countless times of some ridicilously crippling negative at the wrong time (aka no energy to negate). I'm specifically looking at inaccuracy -_-
- some very annoying game mechanics. Selecting the type of missiles you pick up instead of the ones you have selected, often resulting in firing lower power missiles than you want. Having to rebuy upgrades, not being able to sell ships.
I could go on, but what it comes down to is, this game feels unbalanced, unfinished, and somewhat bland. 3/5 for the effort though.
simple as it is (or maybe BECAUSE if its simplicity) I intensly enjoyed this game. I remember finding it some time ago, getting 158 on first try and not being able to get 200 after a hundred tries or so. getting frustrated, I left it and forgot about this game. This afternoon I stumbled into it again and got 208 secs on my 2d try... with a crappy mouse too hehe :) fun times
shouty can pawn basher when it is charged... basher can pawn a shouty any time with he shells and overload available half of the time... And basher can take down towers like no tomorrow. That said, I still prefer shouty myself, but basher is NOT underpowered compared to it. And shouty is harder to play as well.
very soothing and relaxing game - and I'm loving 'letting go' shame what i consider to be the best parts in it last the shortest :( ow well... cant have all... Its a bit too random and luck-based though. And yes, the last achievement is also luck based, if you get lots of purple powers and a yellow madness at the start, you are set. Also, I think that the extreme penalty for touching a red is in contradiction with the mildness and calmness of the game. Make it less yellows, less powerups - hell, even increase the number of reds three times, but dont cut our multiplier in HALF for one mistake... and being able to catch some yellows back doesn't help much when you are caught by surprise. Minor qualms though - I consider this an excellent game
average.... and the upgrade system is quite frustrating... apart from the stress of having to catch as many debris as possible whilst at the same time fending of enemies, my main grudge is POWERPODS BEING LAUNCHED OFSCREEN... very annoying...
and best team would be a balanced one... every one picks a different bot. Of course, dont do this if it means picking something you cannot play... Nothing worse than someone who doesnt know his skills/role/strategy to heart
this discussion is useless.. There are no best tanks, only best players... Some people have their favorites and can be beast with them, and some can make all of them shine.
awesome game, although there is certainly an element of luck involved. Gameplay is truly addicting... after getting gold on all stages, I started a new game with the goal of getting gold on all stages BEFORE advancing to the nest stage... Needless to say, quite the challenge once you get on insane. Still not satisfied, I am now trying to get perfect score on all stages. Got them all except insane 2 - that overload of squares really requires some godly luck :(
chapter 6 is ridiculous... even with maxed repair and gun I cannot simply kill the large ships fast enough and they block the line of sight towards asteroid that blow me apart in no time... challenging is ok but this is... just ridiculous. Not to mention the warship/ large snake thing/ asteroids combo at the end.... and that is WITH max health at the start...
5/5 just for the roars XD and really, lol at the people who are seriously commenting on that 'introspective' thing. You must really lack all sense of humour if you take that seriously :p Learn to take a joke, might be useful irl as well ;)
greetings! I am looking for an excellent splodge or stinger to enter mikzku's tournament. I play doc (agressively but good) and need something to complement my playing style, since by itself it holds no ground to a good shouty/stinger. if you are interested pm me/ leave a shout and we can hold some practice matches/ Thanks in advance :)
and just a minor thing... you may want to look into the patterns of towers and lowlies a bit... They seem to have set patterns on how they should act on certain situations, and they do, yet 1/500 times they do something completely random, like target something they shouldn't, or the shooting minions targeting someone from insane ranges when there are multiple targets in between. Perhaps this is on purpose? dunno... but it seems strange... I say, random ALL the time or set ALL the time, but not 499/500 times one and 1/500 times the latter
in case any of the developers is reading these comments (which I doubt -_- but one can hope) there is a weird bug you might want to look into. Basically, it is like one game is 'split' into two or even several. I noticed this when I was the only one on my team doing anything, defending against 4 opponents and still killing them without dying or letting them get the main (so generally doing really well) while my team members, who in my game were not doing anything... kept complaining that *I* was doing nothing, just standing in base, while they did all the fighting and work... Happened multiple times now and it is strange and annoying
