Apart from some awkward writing and controls... interesting game and very fun to play... although the constant pause for chain breaks gets annoying sometimes. But definitely 5/5... getting a chain over 1.6 million on lvl 20 was the icing on the cake ^^
awkward controls... its very easy to 'loose' the paddle. You have to both watch that your arrow remains near the paddle or you tend to not always move where you want to, and at the same time well, play the game... 3/5 because the gameplay is flawed that way
death works in illogical ways XD anyway, nice game but the puzzles are... more pixelhunting than logical thinking. Atmosphere more than makes up for it though. 4/5
unapologetically hard??? I usually suck at adventure games but I finished this in about 10 minutes without using any hints or walkthroughs or whatever... great atmosphere though 4/5
been away for some days.. this is a little late but I just HAD to reply to graveyard: its a matter of tastes, except for basher... HE shells BEFORE overload... since overload adds attack speed, and he shells means more damage, which makes overload better AND is available all the time. With doc it CAN be better to put some points in heal BEFORE maxing speed, especially if your team has a lot of tanks and is skilled. And mortar beats missiles by a mile: early on it is great for taking towers from a safe distance and you simply cannot argue with area of effect. Missiles is good but only better than mortar if you like to ks ;) And thats not nice ^^
I do not enjoy these kind of games, however this is clearly a well executed game - probably one of the best of its kind. And it seems very original as well, not to mention the awesome jazz hehe ^^ 5/5
opponents blow themselves up too much (-2 for bad gameplay)... controls have issues - I often get stuck moving 1 direction (-1) and this game is very unoriginal (-1) which 'adds up' to a 1/5 rating
I like this game, but it suffers from the 'multiplier syndrome': Higher levels the difficulty curve gets more and more insane, because it goes something like this: naturally, enemies damage more and more often and increase in number. But as this makes getting chains harder and harder you also lack the bonusses they give, which makes it harder still. Its still doable, but... meh, you should get HIGHER chains on higher levels, not have them break every single second.
and the difficuly is just perfect. Its frickin hard at start but once you get some insights/practice you can get pretty far. Once I get the smg I mostly can hold out untill the amounts of vultures gets too high
quite easy (in a hard way :P) once you get the strategy down... NEVER SAVE AMMO btw - more kills = more money, simple as that. And I dont ignore the shotgun, but get to very high levels all the same. Ignore the rocket launcher though. And defense coating = key
