Level 9 has a funny glitch. Put the two climb stones where you're supposed to, then put the bounce stone right at the top right edge. Behold, Dibble Circus!
I don't really get the motivation, until the final map, to use the upgrade feature on your units. They don't get a power boost from what I understand, you just get a second unit to spawn there. With as many blank spaces on the map I just spammed units in strategic areas instead of overpaying to uselessly and needlessly upgrade. Bad design I'd say.
The cats knew that only they could stop the menacing aliens because the human military was no match for the aliens.
I can't let you do that Star Claws!
But the humans had to interfere and put themselves in harm's way, making the cats' jobs all the harder.
You can't even rescue an ally if a mob crashes down right on their position (exactly what happened to me, they didn't stand a chance, and I couldn't heal them even though I was warned that if I left they were screwed; good job guys!).
Actually, what is the game's motivation anyways? If you step out of the elevator, they won't even bat an eye, showing no interest whatsoever in hurting you, so unless you're protecting something a bit more valuable than the elevators themselves (dubious) it seems that you could theoretically leave unscathed at any time or else they'd just attack and kill you when you stepped out to face them.
How can a laser, which is an acronym with the first word being light, not have light be part of the formula and instead have radio waves + fire? Fire is the component for light here?
Abilities that have a 50/50 chance are completely bogus and bring too much luck into a game that doesn't need it. I've been saved and have been boned by attributes like this and I don't like luck interfering with my game if it can be avoided. Another problem is that this game requires WAY too much grinding in order to get anywhere. That isn't fun! Oh boy, I can play this game for hours, just trying to play the STORY MODE because I have to wait for my energy to recharge. I hate how Kongregate is such a sell out that it rewards games with badges that punish players for not shelling out the dough. Gotta love that self-promotional advertising, in a game you can turn to Auto Mode and it'll win 80% of the time if you have a decent deck.
Not to complain, but this is a bit excessive isn't it? I mean, when the badges are going through 2,000 enemies, which translates to 200 waves, that seems to be a matter of patience more than anything. Just making combos can make it so one group of weapons is more than enough, let alone making back up combo machines with all the extra money you have. Seems a bit odd to me that the wave amount is so high, though the combo idea is stellar and incredible. Great game, just wish it had more of a point and less high a goal.
I have only played as the warrior, but here is the best strategy I found (as if anyone will care, this game is easy; there’s no penalty for dying!). By equipping items that focus more on health and mana leech than other stat boosts, (common sense being key here; sometimes 1.0% leech is better than 2.5% leech because of other stats) and using 2h weapons (shields - forget about it), I can spam my skills, get healed for it, and rob the enemies’ mana so in theory they can't use skills (not sure if they have an inf. amt. or not) and I never run out of mana to keep spamming mine (so I never use the weak basic attack). Then just balance my stats between everything except intellect (never waste a point on it) and will power and dex. as my lower two ones. Not sure if this is a speedy approach to the game, I don't mind playing through the dungeons and exploring. I’m pretty much unstoppable though; kill things easily, take little damage, and heal quickly if I attack a mob with a strong skill.
Odd; I went from not being able to play this game at all because I wasn't getting it to getting 4,895,981 points on the third time I played this game, earning all 4 achievements. I'd say knowing you can move left and right with the keyboard controls instead of statically jumping or gliding helped, but yeah, not too hard.
