It's so hard to argue with the 2nd guy, as imo the idea he's presenting itself is 100% accurate. One may be able to argue trivial points, such as whether biological inclination counts as personal choice (biologically we're predisposed to finding certain things right or wrong, except it's still entirely up to a person and a society to decide what is ultimately considered right or wrong), but Mr. Attorney SHOULD be betting his life on that. Morality is entirely subjective. Unfortunately, seeing as I can't imagine any good, solid, factual argument to suggest that morality isn't subjective (if any such argument exists I'd sure as heck like to hear it), I can only assume my job is to pick apart his argument based upon semantics...
That's bs man. The old guy shoulda been all like "Alright lady, either I get at least, AT LEAST a kiss on the cheek, old-timey hero style, or I'm closing this door then getting a bucket of water and reviving all those guys I just knocked out with my rather large posterior". She'd cut out that handshaking crap pretty quick like.
Wow, people just love finding reasons to bitch. The intro lasts for a few god damn seconds. Yes, it's pretty annoying, but for christ's sake turn down your f*cking sound until the game starts if you're that mortified that it allegedly made you want to close the tab or w/e. But again, that would mean doing something drastic like dealing with a problem one's self rather than just crying about it, and some people would really just prefer to whine.
And by a week and a half I of course mean since the comment in which it was stated that those things were going to get updated. Obviously this game has been out for a long, long time, as it was out for at least a couple months over on armorgames.
K, it's been over a week and a half now, when are these alleged updates for things like crypt missiles targeting the next enemy or coin auto-pickup coming? In general flash games don't have that long an active life, if you're planning on updating it doing so a month or two after it's been uploaded and the vast majority of people have already just dealt with the annoyance and completed it anyways doesn't work terribly well.
Is there some way to erase one's progress? Cause the saw upgrade is pretty detrimental imo. It used to be that one could use saws as a permanent blockade, but then the upgrade makes them explode and disappear. I'd much, much, much, MUCH rather have the ability to use them as blockers once they run out than to have a little extra explosion damage at the end. It kinda sucks, because now I either have to live with the crappier disappearing version of the saws, or I have to erase all my flash data, which I don't think I want to do as that would erase data for ALL games. I originally thought that hey, I guess then maybe blocks will be able to serve that purpose, but no, they're huge and you can only place one.
Man, I sure wish my computer didn't choke so hard trying to run this. A level that should take a few minutes winds up being stretched out into a half an hour ordeal that's just so painfully slow that I wish I could leave the computer and just let the level finish itself. I have no idea what would possess the devs to create a game like this and not have any sort of variable quality. Did they think most other games out there allowed ppl to toggle quality simply simply b/c they had utterly shitty creators that couldn't figure out how to optimize their games? Somehow I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if that's exactly what they believed...
Needs a new upgrade under the orc tree: "Pay hookers: your soldiers are no longer horny and are significantly less affected by the amazon's charm ability". Hey, an evil overlord's henchmen have needs too!
Oh lord, it's thegames8 again, basically the only dev I know of where rather than making new games they just take all the resources from an old one, move them around, then call it a sequel. Actually, in this case I think DB888 is right; I'm pretty sure this is literally the exact same, same levels and everything, as the old rail of death. They literally just made it dark. I'm not going to lie, I get the feeling that there's some score fixin' going on here. I've gotten that feeling with a few games from this dev, and judging by the fact that they're lazy enough to turn off the lights in one of their old games then release it as new, I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised to learn that they were lazy enough to cheat on scoring. Granted, now that this is on the hng list it won't take long for it to get knocked down to an appropriate rating, but still...
Wow, I thought "nobody's going to fall for that alt + F4 thing. Everyone knows that's just the shortcut to close the currently selected window!". Well, I guess mine turtle showed me that at least one person fell for it...
Hey, I won!...wait a minute, I won? Are you supposed to be able to do that in a roguelike? I didn't think so. Anyways, upon playing a mage for the second time I managed to find a second fireball spell, and I instantly knew there was gonna be some pwnage up in there. Using those two, plus fear, plus sleep, plus shadow walk wound up making the whole thing easy as pie (I guess pie is a particularly easy food. Anyone who's seen american pie should know how slutty pie is). The double fireballs was really what did it though...
Yeah, well idk heki, having to grind levels/items is part of the general RPG formula, and seeing as games involving grinding levels/items are pretty darn popular I'd say that being unable to do so is actually a detriment here. Grinding levels and items is part of character progression, what's fun about RPGs is being able to go back and get stronger if you can't pass something, then have a go at it again and watch your character make short work of your enemies, along with the ability to plan out your character for maximum effectiveness. Yes, in a game perhaps one shouldn't NEED to grind levels or items, that I suppose I can agree with, but not having the ability to do those things for people who actually want to? Not so great I'd say. Not to mention not having those things significantly reduces replayability.
I disagree with the top comments. What would the gifts have to do with anything? I'm pretty sure the idea is that the guy keeps just giving and giving in order to get this girl's attention, and she keeps on ignoring him. He's adding color to her life and she just takes him for granted. By the end he's given all of himself, and she doesn't ever notice until he's gone. That's way truer to real life; I can't count the number of times I've seen that situation, where a fellow is young and they meet a girl and don't know better, so they seriously just throw themselves at her and she seems like she couldn't care less. It happens with girls to guys too, but it's more common the other way around. The fact that this is specifically a "boy" makes me think that as well...plus I'm hoping littlehat is wrong, as that would be extremely shallow and trite as far as messages go.
I like it enough, but I'm not going to lie, I'm going to scream if I run into one more game that has A as attack and S as jump. If the vast majority of the population on earth is right handed, why in the name of ever loving f*ck would you make attack, which should ostensibly be the "primary" function, on the button to the left of jump where you have to hit it with your middle finger rather than your pointer finger? It makes no damn sense. Not one bit.
That's right, he was about to run over that peasant chick with his little car thing, but I was all "Hey, you stop that! I need her to make babies with!" and collapsed the bridge.
yes, but it takes that long. We can't just release an unbalanced game - it will be even worse.
