See, physics are nice, but then you run into problems like I did just last attempt; you go to slide a block into a place that, by all indications, it should fit perfectly, but due to the physics the slot is off by just the slightest hair, which makes you lose control of the block and instead of fitting nicely in the slot it was supposed to ends up falling in some screwed up diagonal direction that you can't sit any more blocks on properly, and even though you attempt to the fact that none of them are even leads to even more instances of losing control of blocks that looked like they were supposed to fit perfectly due to the tower swaying and blocks not being in the right place...and all because a little ways down one block didn't act like it was supposed to.
Also, what is the point of having something like bees? There's no way to beat bees. There's no way to avoid them. You can't move our web out of the way. Catching them is disadvantageous. Normally the point should be that when bad things happen that you're supposed to be able to do something about it or learn how to avoid it in the future...Every time something like a bee wrecks a piece of webbing, what are we supposed to think? "Gee, in the future I sure hope I'm lucky enough that that won't happen again?". In general, making luck pretty much the only way to avoid something isn't a good thing imo. Then again, that's kind of this whole game; make a web and hope certain things do or don't hit certain parts. Actually, I think that's the problem right there. I probably just shouldn't be playing this game, since obviously it's causing me personally way more aggravation than enjoyment right now.
I'm really pretty sure that just about every single new enemy/bug says "It's ___ and REALLY STRONG.". By the time I get to hummingbirds it's just starting to get frustrating as hell, because by point if any of your web gets knocked off and you attempt to recover pretty much the only thing at that point that isn't "REALLY STRONG" (and you can actually catch regardless of strategy) is, like, flies and ladybugs. Having all sorts of different opponents is ok, but the strategy for increasing difficulty being "Lets just make every new thing stronger" isn't very creative. Don't get me wrong, it's a good game, but the best of games don't make you feel angry and frustrated when you lose, they make you think "Man, it's over? I'm going to play again."
Yet another thing...you appear to be able to use a spear as many times as you please, just so long as you switch up weapons when it starts getting full. When you switch back you'll still have the same number of spears, but the one you were using will be clean. I'm not gonna lie man, there are a lot of bugs here. It only hurts more since I usually expect a lot out of pyrozen games.
But hey, at least the people seem to be pretty good sports about getting impaled on my spear. They look like they're having a damn good time. If they're that happy getting stabbed, imagine how hard they must freak out when they find a quarter on the street or something...unless they're just really into self-mutilation or something...
You need to either, like, make more people or make them respawn or make more areas or something. As far as I can tell there are a little over 80 people on the map (unless I'm making some extreme error, but as far as I can tell I've discovered everything), and by the time I get up towards 80 people (usually a few are bugged/unkillable, but I can never tell how many exactly) not only is everyone dead, but I still have a fair bit of ammo and weapons. I end up just blowing myself up since there doesn't seem to be any more people.
Ok, I know exactly why the heavy armor/best hull thing is so terrible; armor simply sucks really badly. I seriously have to equip, like, 2 sets of armor plating from the "stuff" menu to even see a difference due to armor, and the amount of armor you gain from the hull is infinitesimal compared to the disadvantage of the size increase. As for the whole thing...I liked the last game a lot, and all I can say right now that this one is just frustrating me a lot.
Um...I'm beginning to think it's a mistake having actually gone and bought the strength increases so that it's "easier" to lift the lance...yeah, you're right, it is "easier"; it also becomes really very difficult to aim as every time you tap the raise button, seeing as in this system you can only really tap it no matter how hard or soft you'd like the lift to be, the lance goes sailing upward so it's impossible to gain any semblance of precision. I'd recommend not getting it, as it's not like you can remove it later.
Man, you'd think these boxes would have been so traumatized by this point that they'd hardly get a wink for the rest of their lives let alone continuing to fall asleep on obviously precarious ledges and flimsy structures. Not to mention they'd probably be busy getting intensive therapy due to constant fear that every time they fall asleep they'll be awoken by getting thrown off a ledge...
Wow, people are REALLY whiny about it being a paid game, aren't they? Like, do those talking about how terrible a game this is due to the premium content actually bother to play it, or just kind of skip that part and instead just pretend like they played the game and whine about how it's all allegedly terrible (ESPECIALLY that paid content...)? I felt the need to ask since right now I'm playing the game and have yet to find one of these game breaking elements. Actually, that's sort of a lie, I'm really really rather disliking how limiting ammo is. I seriously go through every single weapon I have by the end of every level. It's kind of ridiculous and doesn't contribute at all. Limited ammo is one thing, but having it so that you run out of ammo after using a weapon for less than a freaking minute is another.
Oh, a vampire spider creature that attacks other things and makes their bodies disappear turning them into small head-spider beasts? Definitely nothing odd here.
Is this a joke? This is honestly barely even playable. It takes about 5 seconds to fail both because of the fact that new crap keeps jumping up in front of what you're already desperately trying to hit, and likely missing due to the ridiculous shot mechanics...like, did anyone play this before it was released? Cause I feel like just casually being like "Hey, want to give this game I made a try?" Would elicit the same reactions as everyone else here. The artwork is the only redeeming quality.
Oh yeah, and to those for whom the game is running slowly; don't forget that there are quality options in the right click menu. Lowering the quality certainly seemed to help move things along in my case.
It says that now you need to defeat all enemies to win a siege, but my last siege in which I launched a single catapult shot that destroyed the castle and resulted in me winning doesn't agree.
