A very nice little game. The graphics, the music, the theme and the mechanics are all solid and good. I originally wanted to say that a game cannot sadly get 5 stars from me when I have to strain my hand because I don't have an American keyboard, but then I saw (too late, but that's my own fault) that you can actually assign new keys in the options, so 5/5 it is.
I really like this game up to a certain point. But when you're trying to get the gold stars the RNG plays way too big a role. Either that or I'm missing something, but I see only one possible way to beat the first mission in 6 turns and that didn't work out till now on account of simple bad luck.
For level 25 you have to keep in mind that flowers actually vanish after watering them for the third time. So first water the lower part once, then water all of it another two times, voilá you have big flowers on the top and no flowers at the bottom.
I like the atmosphere of the game, the music and graphics. But I have honestly no idea how I got from the basement to the ... organ rooms, and I have also no idea what I did to land in the boat room. I just randomly jumped everywhere until something happened.
Sorry, but no. I don't like bullet hell games where I have to control the ship with the keyboard. Also, making the enemy bullets another color than my own, or the power ups, would help liking this game more too.
I just keep falling through platforms. First I though that happens on the edge, but no I also fell right through the middle of one several times too. It's completely unplayable. This really oughtn't to be a BotD.
The concept is not bad, but the game way too buggy. Then again, it's probably my computer, as with almost all the Unix games, but knowing that makes me not happier and does not help me to get the BotD.
I'm very sure that this was not part of Your First Quest, back when it was my first quest. But if that means I got those quest points a second time I ain't complaining.
I'm not quite sure I did the name "Quick Game" for that hard badge justice here. But I'm glad it wasn't actually a time challenge as I first suspected. It's a nice puzzle game and a timer would have just made me hate it unconditionally.
I remember this game being hard, back then, when I got the easy badge. Now I came back for the 5 min quest and I got the medium badge in one try, and then the hard badge in another one try, so I can't complain anymore. You just have to watch where the most Doeos conglomerate and it's actually rather easy.
An important lesson in life: You may have total free will over what you wanna do, but when you make mistakes, you can't redo them. You got one chance, that's it.
I I had at least a way to know how many purple orbs I actually got, it would maybe give me some hope. But I can't be expected to count them while panicking because of all those red spikes whooshing by on every side.
Okay, so who had the bright idea to put the Continue and New Game buttons directly over each other and make the progress immediately delete when hitting New Game?
I have no idea how people can play this. I mean, the majority of castles is very easy, even with gold, but some of them, I even went so far as watching that damn walkthrough, managing to hit the castle exactly where it was hit in the walkthrough, and then the damn pillars just fell in a slightly different way and half the peeps survived because of that. As far as I got it, it's just random chance by now. And this is far too boring to try any further for that hard badge.
Beat Level 16, then check the map.
