I just go with a Celestial Lightwielder. Increased healing + start with some healing spells seems obvious. Also, keep a look out for Entangle, Charge, and Critical Strike. All very helpful spells.
Protip: Get used to playing as a Sniper. Level 14 is very difficult, and a decent Sniper is just about the only thing that can do the job. Use the Vital Sight to fight from afar, there's too many of them for a direct confrontation. Full Radar helps out too, so they can't sneak up on you so easily. + if you find this helpful. :)
Am I the only one who played almost the whole game without realizing there was a metaphor involved? Doesn't help that I chose the "get closer" ending last. :P
Very fun! Nice concept, interesting puzzles, and it's nice to see a game that involves ACTUAL computer stuff. Would like to see a sequel for sure. However, it's hard to see the entire puzzle at once: I ended up using the snipping tool thing and pasting together a dozen screens to see the whole level. Would be nice to zoom out and see the puzzle better. And, of course, the "action elements" do feel a tad unresponsive. Not the worst I've seen, but could use some tightening up. Maybe make the guy move a little faster so we can get around the level easier. All things considered, a very nice game that I'd like to see more of. 4/5, favorited, lots of fun. :)
AI: "Would you like to play some Chess?" Me: "What's Chess?" AI: "Error: Some words were not recognized." Shouldn't the AI be prepared to explain the rules of a game it wants to play to a human who may have amnesia?
I like the music and the concept, but it is really REALLY unrefined. There's a lot of menu stuff that could use some explanation. Daily challenge is a Maneki Neko with an X2 on it. Okay...? And There's some characters that need scrolls, butterflies, and shoes to unlock. So...where do I get those? Also, money is not common enough for those prices. Especially if those characters just turn out to be costumes. Like I said though, fun concept, cool music. Just needs some tweaking. :)
In Ascent number 5, J and Q can be reversed, and the passage will still be readable, but the game won't let you continue onwards until you reverse them. There are probably other levels like that too, this is just the only one I stumbled across. Not a huge hassle, but if you can think of a way to fix that, it would make the narrative make a little more sense. Why should a translator have to translate letters that aren't there? It's a little silly. Still a cool game though, and a cool story! :)j
Wish I got a little more time for a right answer in random attack. Some of those words are long, and I waste a few seconds just typing them out. Level 76 and 92, I'm looking at you. Easily recognized, long word. :(
People always complain, when they can't get a badge, that it should be harder. Has anyone ever said "This badge should be easier?" Like, "That Hard badge should be a Medium!" No. Do you feel some sort of entitlement to your arbitrary points? That you deserve them for trying, even if you don't succeed? They are merely goals to strive for, and meaningless points to add to a nonsense total. So don't get all worked up when a badge doesn't seem to be "the right difficulty." Who cares? It's just a goalmarker and a trivial number. Nothing more.
Okay, that time wasn't fair. After enough spins, the wind can get so high that you cannot go against it. If that happens and the belt is moving in the same direction, you literally cannot continue anymore.
That happens because of the Flash Player.
