I bought a factory upgrade and the cost for the next upgrade went from 1k SolareP to 1M ReoliteP. Is that intentional? Not supposed from 1k SolareP to be 10k like the progression on the others? Seems like a pretty darn steep increase.
There are some bugs with the weapon shop. Starting with the one that costs 1e4 they all don't actually cost money. You need the money to buy them, but it doesn't take it out of your bank. Also if you unlock those with Legacy you lose the Legacy points but don't actually get the weapons. They're still for sale in the shop.
The Forge seems fairly limited. It would be nice to have a Forge-All option. Or an option to upgrade manual Forging. Or an option to auto-Forge more than one type of metal.
The key is that you get 100% resources back for selling basic stuff that hasn't been upgraded. So you can splurge like crazy to get high mining rate or to add tons of basic lasers and then just cash them back in when you don't need them. The only place you actually upgrade is your core base, where you want a repair thing, missile launchers and eventually some thels and pulsers.
Basic strategy for beating madness mining mode: build a few solar plants then rapidly start building as much mining stuff as you can. Do not upgrade the miners and try to only expand in one direction. When the red ships get close, build 5 or 6 basic lasers in their way, then sell those lasers when the reds are dead. Repeat for all the other waves and keep aggressively expanding your mine. When the boss ships come sell EVERYTHING except your core base, and quickly add 5 or 6 missile launchers and ~15 lasers. Once the bosses are mostly dead, start expanding again in the other direction and use more lasers this time. If you've done it right you will complete the mission before the 3rd boss wave.
The ability to swap heroes is interesting. I understand the rule that we need a clear path to the caverns to swap, but we shouldn't have to actually go to the caverns to do it. Give the option to do it in the other zones too, which would be greyed out in the rare cases where you don't have a clear path home.
The Gas Spore Conjurer will sometimes try to summon mobs onto a pit. He can fly, so he seems confused about whether his summons can also fly. Seems like a bug.
I tried to like it, but it's just not any good. There are so many QoL problems that it's just not pleasant to play. You put so much effort into graphics, when something simpler would have been just as good. Grinding exp sucks, the tower choices are too limited, etc etc.
Hey, more upgrades for forge sounds good to me. I'll add it to the to-do list.
