Hmmm... my forging tooltip: 0 forging per second, 0 item per click, 0 item per second in average. Lol. Not trying to complain, but that's not very helpful!
SimonM45, you're wrong if you think that balances it out. When I was quoting my numbers earlier, it was including critical mining. For instance, at level 305 mining with 26% critical chance and level 3 critical, I'm generating barely enough ores to keep my level 204 smelter running. Upgrading mining costs me 2.4T, upgrading mining crit costs me 6.5T and upgrading mining crit level costs me 1.7P (lol), whereas upgrading smelting is only 32.2G. They are WAY WAY WAY out of balance. The cost of auto-smelt and auto-forge upgrades are completely irrelevant because they're so dramatically cheaper than auto-mine.
Thanks for lowering the mining prices, but it still is way out of balance. My mining is 100 levels higher than my smelting and my next mining upgrade costs almost 100x as much as my next smelting upgrade, but I'm still smelting faster than I mine.
Rocklee, critical mining gives you a chance to get 2 ores instead of 1 when the timer runs out. Critical smelting gives you a chance to get 2 bars instead of 1 (without using up extra ores) when the timer runes out. Critical forging gives you a chance to get 2 copies of the weapon/armor instead of 1 (without using extra bars). All of them can be upgraded later to get x3, x4, etc.
To add on my prior comment - the biggest problem with how expensive mines are is that the whole progress of the game gets slowed down. I can tell from the achievements that I'm nowhere close to finished, but each Autunite Mail is taking 16 minutes to complete. I could cut that time way way down, but I already am not producing enough ores in 16 minutes so what good does it do? Mining is way more of a bottleneck than it should be.
The balance of the upgrades seems way off. You need to mine a lot faster than you smelt if you want to maintain a normal production speed. But the mining upgrades aren't scaled with that in mind. Currently my mining is producing only about 3 ore in the time it takes to get 1 bar, but I need 4 ores per bar. So I need to buy a bunch of mining upgrades to get it balanced. BUT one mining upgrade currently costs me about 100x as much as one smelting upgrade. That doesn't make any sense. I can get around it by manually clicking, but for idling it will never be balanced. Unless I'm missing something, the cost of the mining upgrades should be scaled so that they get progressively cheaper than the smelting upgrades. Same for smelting vs. forging, although I haven't gotten to a point where that matters yet because mining is such a bottleneck.
Reset button is bugged so that you lose most of your stars. That's pretty game breaking, since you can only earn stars once. Will try again after you fix that.
3 stars on everything. Level 16 you have to use the speed boost, which is buggy as hell. Otherwise the best I could get was 2 stars. All the other levels you can get 3 stars without speed boost.
It's just Plants vs. Zombies with no humor, very limited options, no upgrades, etc. Gets very boring very fast. Even the pacing on the levels seems slow. If you're going to copy existing games, try to at least get all the good parts and add something new of your own. This doesn't add anything to what people have already done before.
There are a lot of things in this game that are set up just a little bit too inconveniently. Collecting resources is no fun, but the upgrade to let you collect all is taking me forever. Zooming in and out is cool, but the solar system is so big that I'm either way too close to see everything or so far away that the planets are just tiny dots. That's realistic, but it doesn't make for good gameplay. Then I go to the particular planet and the zoom is always too close. I shouldn't have to zoom out every time. Anyway, really great game with a lot of potential, just needs some tweaking.
A bunch of new upgrades, new achievements, new managers and within one day I'm right back where I was before... waiting for AI to pile up so I can get the last couple newspaper achievements. All the new updates did was add a few more digits to the already meaningless numbers. Good thing they're working on diversifying the content.
You must have been VERY far ahead. Which is awesome. And exactly why we're working on new stuff. Keep an eye on AdCap, we'll let you know when the new stuff is ready. :D
Problem with this kind of game is that the updates don't mean anything. It's just the same game with bigger numbers. You'd get just as much fun from a hard reset as you do from adding a new tier of high level upgrades and achievements.
All this talk about replaying to get more money misses the real issue. You get very little money in the first levels and then too much money later. Plus most of the upgrades aren't very good and the ones that are good are too expensive for the first levels and then too cheap for the later levels. Once you've beaten 4 or 5 levels, you have enough money to have everyone equiped with the weapons you want and then after a couple more levels everyone has the gloves and boots. Then money is just pointless. There should be a wider range of upgrades, with a better progression from low level upgrades that are worth buying at low level and high level upgrades that are worth buying at high level. Or maybe make equipment upgradable, so you can buy it at low level and then improve it at higher level. Something to fix the balance where in the first 3 levels you're dirt poor and then by level 7 or 8 you have tens of thousands of dollars just sitting around. Plus the armor and helmets suck.
Does the rest of the interface look ok? It could be a zoom issue. Sorry for the inconvenience!
