On further reflection, I think this game pretty much suffers from the same problem as all your other games. You have a good concept, but you don't seem to understand that some things need to be made easier on your players. Playing your games should feel a little bit less like work and more like fun. If the battles were shorter, this would be a more fun game. If the leveling-up system was less grind, this would be a better game. I'm not asking for an easier game. Challenge is fun. Just that the challenge be less based on endurance and patience.

So many silly problems... 1. too many monsters in too many waves coming too slowly - at least give a x5 speed option. 2. upgrades are too expensive. 3. upgrades for most high level units are useless. 4. barracks are too expensive and there are too many regenerating units, so mazes aren't worthwhile. 5. achievements screen "Earn Another" tip keeps giving tips for ones I've already earned. 6. several spells and traps are useless. 7. show paths sometimes is inaccurate. 8. why can't we buy and sell barracks during waves? 9. inconvenient to view enemy stats. 10. should be able to summon next wave by hitting spacebar, or they should come automatically. 11. need key shortcuts for placing units, casting spells and upgrading. 12. game stability really suffers if you cast the rain spell several times in a row. 13. prone spell is absolutely essential, yet is all the way at the end of the upgrade path. Many of these are basic features that lots of other TD games already have.

Ok, I've played around a bit with the gem crafting. One big bug is that if you put a gem on a craftable item, the craftable item is permanently changed (like even new ones you craft after that). You can use this to continually upgrade gems, but there seems to be a cap on how good gems can get. I have a +30% learning gem and it fails every time I try to go above that. Seems like poor design to me, but whatever. One thing that sucks is that there are no socketed rings or amulets. Should fix that in the next one.

One more complaint about crafting: why the F is there a chance to fail when you're adding gems to an item? You go through all this work to raise your skills to make the socketed item and to raise your enchant skill to get the gems, then you finally get a good one and it gets wasted. It is hard enough already. Really don't need that extra kick in the scrotum.

Gotta say, you did a really good job responding to prior suggestions from other players. Pretty much all the changes were things I remember complaining about before. There are still some things to improve though: 1) it would really help to have a simple crafting tutorial. Basically just tell how you get recipes and what Artistry does. 2) The gem thing really doesn't work right now. It takes way too much work to get gems and the items you make aren't that good. Might be better if there was a gemcrafting skill that let you craft your own gems. 3) When crafting, there should be a button to reuse the same combination as before. So you can make the same thing over and over again without clicking back to the recipes. Also, we shouldn't have to click an item to move it to our storehouse, just move it automatically when we craft the next thing. 4) I really think our main guy should fight in the group battles.

For people confused about crafting: - In order to get recipes, you have to do the repeatable dungeons for alchemy, blacksmithing and tailoring. They start out easy (and give bad recipes) and get harder each time you do them until you've unlocked all recipes. - your success rate is determined partially by your artistry skill. If you have low artistry, you can't make the best items. Artistry is raised by failing at making stuff. Easiest way to train it is to repeatedly try to craft with just one common ingredient over and over again. You'll also train scavenging while you do this.

I think the slotted items are a bad idea. It just doesn't work very well. There should be a crafting skill that lets you build gems, with the bonuses scalable based on your level. i.e. at low level you have a chance to make a +2% damage gem and at max level you have a chance to make a +20% damage gem. As it is now, tailoring and blacksmith are just about useless.

The bonus monsters that you get after winning seem to be bugged. So far I have the shark and the dog and both of them are really really weak. Both only hit one enemy at a time, at melee range, and both are surprisingly weak considering their stats. Really nice idea adding them, but I don't get the point if they aren't any good.

I thought the game was too short and too easy. Only "hard" part was how enemies kept popping up and killing my catapults. I never came close to losing a battle and never lost a squad other than the catapults. But great game and nice story with good humor.

This game has a lot of really annoying features which make it harder to enjoy. Mostly the fact that coins drop on the ground, don't show up until the guy has been dead for 3 seconds and then disappear after like 5 seconds and have a very small collection radius that you can't increase. Why do you think this is a good set of features? It isn't fun.

I really don't understand why you made the upgrades work the way you do. Most of the upgraded parts aren't as good as the lower level ones. Why would I pay $22,950 just to get a new head that has 800 LESS hp, the same power, 100 LESS fuel and the only advantage is 2 special slots? I get the need to allow for specialization, but most of the higher level pieces suck in a very objective and obvious way.

I just remembered one other thing. Didn't My Pet Protector 2 have a bunch of achievements that were supposed to give us special bonuses in MPP3? I'm sure I remembered that. Kind of lame to have us run around getting achievements for a future reward and then fail to include that. That aside, I don't understand why you cut out achievements from the game. Seems like a step backwards to have them in #2 and take them out in #3.

10) it seems like we should be able to buy zeal/prestige by donating coins to the church/townhall, 11) you should be able to see how many potions you have when you go to your inventory screen in town, 12) why aren't there any mana potions for wizards?, 13) magic is way underpowered, especially since you can't caste drain life anymore. That's all I could think of for now. Obviously it would also help to do a bit more bug testing. I ran into two bad ones on my own (1. using no weapon deals NAN damage and 2. entering a dungeon on your last day wastes the day and doesn't let you complete the dungeon).

Good game, but for the next one: 1) add in more dungeons that are determined by the story instead of exploring, 2) add back at least one dungeon that you can play more than once, 3) give some indication of when there are no more dungeons to find by exploring, 4) in-game achievements are a nice plus and give people a sense of accomplishment along the way, 5) it is too expensive to trade zeal for prestige, 6) add back rewards from combat... should get a small amount of combat or bravery xp at least, 7) it would be nice to be able to sort our inventory, 8) really should let us turn off magic combat if we're a warrior, 9) I say this for all of these games, but why on earth are building materials so damn hard to find... on my play through I had 40,000 coins at the end but no one who would sell me some freaking wood planks to repair the stables.

Timed it so that i would complete the final dungeon on my very last day. Unfortunately, the stupid game lets you enter the dungeon but doesn't let you do anything in it. It just skipped to the end screen. So I didn't get to finish. What a stupid bug.
