Checkpoints, please! It's super-super-tedious to have to go all the way back to the beginning of the level because you made us try to get past a hundred and seven animals that are too big to kill.
It's annoyingly difficult to get groups of units from different towers to attack in the same place. I always seem to get half my footmen running forward to attack, while the other half hang around behind, doing nothing.
Looks like a good game but, on my laptop, this hammers my CPU so hard that it's unplayable, even on the lowest resolution settings. The mouse moves in jumps that are wider than most of the targets.
Oh. And now, I've discovered the real problem with this game. If you play it like the tutorial tells you, it's grindy and impossible. If you play it like the comments tell you, it's too easy. That's terrible game design.
@Dark_Shuyin I know I'm doing something wrong: otherwise, I'd be winning all the levels! Obviously, I'm not as good at this kind of game as you are but I'm not a noob, either. I can normally get far beyond level four of a tower defence game. Either I'm missing something obvious or the game just gets too hard, too fast. With a more gentle difficulty curve, players would have more chance to learn how the towers work together, for example, before getting hit with levels that they lose again and again. As it is, I finally managed to get the fifth level for the challenge but I doubt I'll be playing again.
This seems to get far too hard, far too fast. I'm not a tower defence noob by any means but, after completing four levels, I can't get past anythign at all on "normal" and I can't even get past the second closed path level on easy. Games are supposed to be fun but this seems to be a stressful grind with no reward.
I love these games but the graphics in this one give me a headache. Please tone down the flashing thing a long way; the criss-cross effect between levels does my head in, too.
Due to the complete lack of instructions, I have no idea what on earth I'm supposed to be doing. What in the name of anything at all am I supposed to be doing?
@superjarvo: No. "Octopus" came to English from Ancient Greek and Latin and in both of those languages, the plural is "octopodes", not "octopi". Since we're speaking English, the plural is just "octopuses".
This is a nice game. However, if you're going to give medals for distance covered, you really need to have a restart button. It's super-frustrating to leave a truck just fouling a switch or to forget to move a switch and run past it, which means you can't get gold but, at the same time, you have to finish the whole level before you can try again.
Huh? I don't have any option to delete comments.
