Desperately needs the option to rotate pieces in direction of player's choice. After clicking to respawn the elbow piece on Lv3... well, I lost track of how many times, but at least 50 surely, and never getting the correct turn, I decided to stop playing. The puzzles themselves are, at least so far, blindingly obvious, but without the necessary pieces spawning, nonetheless impossible.
Early game hints: For Si, prior to digging out any new refinement rooms, don't process it at all. For Pu, don't refine it more than once until you dig out the blue room.
Recommendation: allow the player the option to set which keyboard keys are used to control the ship. The arrow keys on my keyboard, are in a location inconvenient to using them and the mouse at the same time. Allowing the player to set the controls to being WASD, or anything else the player may prefer would be better.
For a game that took you a "huge amount of time and effort", it looks astoundingly similar to Magic Tower (http://www.kongregate.com/games/MinijuegosTeam/magic-tower), so my question is: did you translate Magic Tower or something?
Magic game was made in flash, this was completely rewritten in html and improved upon. Not only the code, but the soundtrack and the graphics were also reworked! It is also fully responsive! Just for your information, it took me 6 months of 3 hours a day of work. I really appreciate every feedback possible to improve for the final version! Thank you very much!
Regarding the new battle (match-3) mode, please correct me if I have the wrong idea, but I should not expect do win on the first several attempts, I should instead focus on getting piece upgrades, which increase their damage and carry over to later attempts? Also, I am disappointed to see that I am, in effect, penalized for achieving T's and corners, since they count as 2 3's, and do not upgrade like a straight 4 or straight 5 would.
Someone took a lot of time and effort to find all the most annoying aspects and the redeeming values, and then polished them to become most annoying and least redeeming. Side/Second Objectives that also prevent progress. No Magnet. Grinding Items of Unknown Location to obtain necessaries to fill above listed second objectives. Can't Special unless you still have armor, but it extends from your craft and is hit first. Unspecified cooldowns on Item/Skill reuse. Enemies that arrive from all directions, shoot in all directions, but keep their invulnerability until they've moved to a location the player cannot shoot them in. Stuff that spawns under the menu bar, and is utterly uncollectable. Annoying sounds from link-up with Escape Pods, especially bad when the pod is too low to complete link-up. Escape Shuttles that are always on the top layer, in the middle of the screen, blocking view of all shots, pickups, enemies, even Bosses.
The pathing available on Level 24 is really annoying. Twice I released a worker only to have other workers take the jobs that would have gotten the fresh release safely out of the way, so it just wandered around until it got caught again.
Well, I mined every possible block, defeated all the walking broccoli, and never had to spend to buy anything except the Sword, thanks to being able to collect/reuse the ladders and bridges. I did use a single TNT, but I probably could've gotten by without it. Grand total at the end was 34,600 (35,600 for all ore, including what was spent on sword).
Was going well until the boss door in the Ghost Cave wouldn't unlock despite having the boss key. Fortunately, the save game works nicely, and refreshing & reloading fixed the stuck door.
Ok, so I've completed everything from the arcade era through the Nintendo games. There are 3 more locked rows. Clicking on stuff gives me these options: redo puzzles, go back to main menu, mute/unmute, get taunted by Occulus. None of these things seem to lead to progress. Now what?
Wow that was fast :O
Next, you need to fight Oculus with the help of the pixels heroes. The more you unlocked the easier the fight. Oculus will drop the copper key to unlock the next era. However i haven't implemented the combat yet you will have to wait a bit i'm sorry :)
Barring special circumstances, such as a slow computer, the Special Weapons otherwise all seem to be garbage. Have personally seen 9/14. (Balloon Animal, Wiffle Bat, Sausage, Lollipop, Ban Hammer, Pickle, Plunger, Fly Swatter, Pool Noodle)
You should be able to use WASD as well as the arrow keys.
