Pretty good. An automap would have been nice. I did find the double jump timing to be a bit sticky at times, and the jetpack is painfully slow, especially given how fast the fuel burns by comparison. I found all the Secrets in every level, but that doesn't seem to do anything? What are hearts for?
There are actually 3 things Lya doesn't want you to access. First is the infamous report. Second is an mp3 file which works just fine until it reaches a word that starts with "a", after which, Lya informs you that the file is corrupted and you can't access it. At least you can replay that one. Third, there is a camera which you can see for... 5 seconds? and then Lya cuts it off and tells you to "stop wasting time and focus on more important matters" and you can never look at that camera again.
Going through the characters at the end of each mail, sorting them by the mail’s chronological date/time results in:
“base64 VGhlIHBhc3N3b3JkIGlzOiBzdGVyaWxpemVjb21wbGV4”
For the amount of control the player has once points are distributed, the game could easily do all the calculations, show some highlights, and give the end results within 60-90 seconds.
What would otherwise be Level 100 is the out point. Knowing there was an actual end to the 'endless mazes' could have been nice, since 'max damage' happened around Lv 30, and the fun realistically wears off by Lv 50, easily. If killing the enemies were possible, the remaining 50 levels could have been more enjoyable.
Needs to accept all correct solutions. On my first puzzle, I had 2 numbers whose positions could be easily flipped for same effect, and was where I learned that a green block meant a 'correct' placement, and not just an entered number.
So, I'm buying bigger, and presumably better (hopefully), gear in the Shop, and spending in the Upgrade Center to improve my purchased gear in some manner. Since there's no descriptions beyond the visuals for any of this, god only knows what the difference is beyond the new lack of cash.
Right now, the College doesn't work. The results listed from going there are +Intellect and -Bellyfu, but only the -Bellyfu takes effect. Probably more like IRL than intended, but at least it doesn't cost you R to go.
Not knowing what the food does for you is fine... when you start a new game. However, once you've eaten a given food at least once, after that, you should know. I dunno, perhaps an Intellect requirement to remember the effect for more than a few days?
There are a few things which annoyed me while playing: The fire spell is basically not aimable. It fires off up and away from you (in other words, not in any useful direction). The ball spell is fast(er) but too weak to bother using. Walls block your projectiles but not those of your enemies. The wave spell is the most useful in terms of both aiming and power, but rather slow. (Character is an 'apprentice', so I guess that's to be expected.) Game is also over surprisingly fast.
Not bad. Could use WASD support, or, even better, player defined controls. Also, perhaps, a smaller character, so that the viewable area is bigger, for less camera motion.
Not bad. I think the Tornado is the least useful of the Acts of God, and it would have been quite nice to be able to sort military by unit type. It's best to keep a certain balance in the units, and would be much easier to do that if sorting by type were possible (in the city screen).
The tracer seems nice... until you realize it has an irresistable tendency to endlessly spiral around stationary targets (without ever hitting them). Particularly annoying in Invasion mode.
