The longer you play, the slower and laggier it gets. I've got all the items except the purple orb, but it's too painfully slow/laggy to be worth finishing.
Game is in desperate need of a tech unlock which allows the (re)building of planets from asteroid belts. Feel free to make it more expensive than Terramorphing, but the option needs to be there. There are so many events that lead to planet annihilation, and no way to either recover or fend it off. Too easy to end at a barren, asteroid-filled map.
Indeed mouse control is fairy popular for space shooters lately. I guess i wanted to keep the traditional style of a typical jap bullet hell. Very likely that i will add the opton for mouse control + autofire though. Thanks for the comment!
There were quite a few times where I thought "That was cheap" of the gimmicks used to make the game more challenging (especially the logo related puzzles). I had greater luck piecing together the puzzle using the other pieces *first* (not relying on the starter). In doing that, often when trying to move one, I would end up moving a different piece nearby which was in no way (visibly) overlapping the piece I had my mouse on/was trying to move. One thing that was quite nice, though, was that the level did not fail/force a restart if the score reached 0.
Thank you for your feed back. I have uploaded a new version.
What do you mean by "gimmicks used to make the game more challenging" ?
Thanks.
Regarding the movement of wrong pieces. Thank you for pointing up this problem. We chose to use the bounding box of the piece so that ti was easier to grab a piece on mobile. But it seems that it doesn't work so well with a mouse. I will probably create an option for this in the next update.
Am forced to assume the right-hand side of Lv27 is a red herring: after several attempts, I still cannot make the leap from the ladder to the moved platform that would otherwise allow me to reach the exit.
Somehow, the game has managed to remember that I've completed the Tutorial and the 5x5 levels. However, it manages to forget that I've completed the 5x10, 10x10, and 15x15 level sets *every* *single* *time* I load up the game. I have to have done the 15x15 set at least 5 times now, on different reloads.
Death Face appears to only be vulnerable while bobbing vertically between the two ladders. It should appear to be... more solid at that time. Therefore, you need to jump off the ladder and attack. I recall that it took quite a few hits the first time, but, eh, boss, but not an undue amount. Replaying now with best sword and sword attack boost, it took 2 whacks to kill.
A pleasant improvement over the first, with no need to endlessly grind levels for cash, and the ability to attack while moving/jumping now. However, if there is a way to kill the clouds, I didn't find it, and seeking, unkillable enemies is not enjoyable to me. Also, I could have done with fewer (none, for example) jumps which basically required you to entirely walk off the previous platform and then jump to reach the next platform. Also, while all of the bosses were pretty easy, I think the final boss may have been the easiest?
Item Levels cap out at 999. Items in the shop are *always* an upgrade to what you have (within the 4 categories of hero weapon/armor, ship weapon/armor), until Item Level cap is reached. (Crystal) Crafted Item levels are based upon the level of your equipped highest level item. Pretty easy to skyrocket your gear if you do the 2x crystal craft, pick the highest level you see, equip it, and repeat.
Crazy Idea here: Maybe, just maybe, you could let ME decide when/if to refresh the rare items in the shop. If I don't like the options, then a 5-10(+)min wait between refreshes would be fine. As it stands now, with the rate at which cash gain is possible, it's merely insulting, rather than a purchase to aim for.
There are 2 chests in Urnebbar, both of which refill *every* time you visit. One is near the cabin outside the walls to the NW, the other south of the cemetery (outside the walls).
Am vaguely curious about 2 things: "How is this any different from Rail of Darkness, or Rail of Death 1-3?" and "Why does this game, nigh identical to 4 other similarly lame games, have a rating as high as this?"
The ability to hit what I aim at, at any distance is amazing... amazingly poor. I can put my cursor on an enemy at some distance, hold shift and fire away, and never hit the damn thing. No obstacles in between, and I'll forever be shooting the empty air in front of it/to one side.
There are a lot of stats to keep track of, but not enough information to know how/what to keep track OF. Achievements: "Is there any benefit to claiming achievements beyond the Ooh Shiny! factor?" "All 'Trader' achieves are Lv.1" "There is a single Chest Opener which is Lv.6" "No achieve after Refiner Lv.5 has a description"; Units: "It would be nice to know what the next upgrade will cost BEFORE I have enough cash to buy it"; Gear: "What is Gear Level, how is it related?" "I use Auto-Equip, and Gear Level seems to slowly raise over time, but sometimes drops. No equipment I mouse over ever shows an alteration in the Gear Level stat."
Desperately needs an auto-fire option, as I've seen no reason to ever be not firing, and there's really no need for me to be holding down the mouse button the entire time I'm playing.
Added a solution for this in the last update.
