Fine, nice artwork and all that, but seriously I stopped liking "spot the difference" games a long, long time ago. 5 Differences is the only one that I'll admit has had me intrigued since (and because it incorporated motion and changes over time).
Hostage level is bullsh*t. I can't repair the truck, I can't control the truck, and I can't in any way keep turrets/buildings from shooting at the truck (even if I surround it with 20 bazookamen).
The only solution is to build a f*ckton of dudes and shoot things to pieces, but I have neither the money nor the time in which to do so.
Starting out combat is full of "run the f**k away" so you heal, but you can't leave the screen or THEY heal, but you aren't strong enough to take on ONE DUDE in single combat (much less two or three).
I also killed one guy guarding the bridge and he respawned. WTF.
> P.S. This is the first game I ever made.
I call bull shit. Physics on player-drawn shapes and correct collision detection between them (and with no jiggling!) is not a beginner's task.
Addendum:
Red quarks are exactly the same as the other two, just with a different movie clip, they all use the same code, thus, it should be impossible to collect blue and green and not red.
Yes. Because the bars go to about the 40% mark. I am aware. It's in the instructions. Putting bars all the way around didn't look good (and would add to the confusion: "they never get all the way full!")
The bars ARE NOT RAW INTEGERS. They're a ratio. If you pick up *one* quark, then that *one* bar will max out, the other two will be at 0. Pick up a second, different quark and both will pop to 50%.
I don't know what's up with not collecting red quarks.
