Agree with others that it needs a manual save and also and export+import feature. Will not be coming back til it at least has a manual save, had all but 2 items from Berkshire, refresh and find it lost 4 of them. That doesn't sound like a lot but when you consider how many boots, gold and levels that was, no thanks. I even tried force saving it by going to town, buying something, doing every little thing I could. I tried testing it after buying Cairo after gaining 4 items - all it remembered was that I bought the ticket. If you implement saves please send a circular game message, as I'd like to come back one day.

Developer response from Mousebreaker

Thanks for the feedback - Will put that manual save next on the list after the Assistant update functionality which I'm working on right now. Also thinking of adding a pirate.

I thought this game would just be for... shits and giggles (xD) but this is a brilliantly made, very enjoyable platformer. The controls are crisp, the music is feel-good without getting repetitive, and the graphics are a joy to journey through. The player immersion is pretty impressive as well, the way the character makes you feel like it's you 3 as a team rather than just him and his boss. The feel of opening the '?' boxes is awesome, though sometimes it can be annoying when treats bounce into an inaccessible zone. Never knew a derpy turd could be so adorable, even (especially!) when he's trash-talking enemies xD 5/5

It's quite fun if you don't try to get 3 star on each level and just aim to complete it, but after a while even then it becomes more frustrating than enjoyable. There is too much 'off-screen' time, a lot of it is blasting in different places and hoping he lands where you want. Given that you can click in the same places and he behaves so differently each time, it's more luck and spray-and-pray than skill based. 3/5 stars for the humour, the music and graphics were nice. The level design itself was good in a way, just wish there was a better way to see what he's doing when going off-screen. It's a good start! :)

I really want to love this game, but as others have said I think it really needs checkpoints on some levels. A good example is level 13, if you die in the second room then you have to go through the whole first bit again which isn't difficult but time consuming. If you gave us a checkpoint just before the 2 tentacles in the 2nd room it would remove a lot of the frustration, as an example. The game itself is amazing but until a lot of the false difficulty is removed I can't give it more than 3/5 as I'm not willing to grind through 13 when a tiny tap in one direction can send you skidding 3 steps forward. If you do at checkpoints or make another of these with them, please send a circular game email as I'd love to play it.

Lost all my data today as well, had all but a few of the achievements :( Will not be coming back unless a import/export feature is added (which should be standard in large idle games) Please send a circulatory game message if you do implement saves, as I'd likely come back then.

Got easy badge in case it become badge of the day and calling it quits. You get small-known devs with great games who strive to fix every issue and learn from others if they don't know how, even though their games may never get played. Then you get devs like this who have exposure but are in denial and won't give their players the time of day, even when some have offered real advice. I loved their Dangerous Adventure but it had the same leak problems, at this point I've given up rating on potential and only on the way the dev is responding. 1/5 :(

Loved it, 5/5 and faved. I've noticed with your games that there's an element of surprise which really adds to the feeling of adventure, and that sadistic Developer humour ;P There is also a merciful element in that if you fail when a surprise is occurring, you laugh at yourself and learn immediately at a time when it's not annoying. (Eg. You don't splat us just in front of the last coin after a gruelling level, you'd do it near the start ;P) Much like in your bazooka boy games, if there's a nasty surprise you'll either give us a discreet checkpoint, or put it where it's no bother to start again. As usual the difficulty curve is great, to the point where at the start you go 'Oh the trees are cute :)' and then towards the end they're almost silently judging you xD Wish I'd discovered your games sooner, you bring an element of magic, chaos and tension that's rare to see in puzzle platformers these days.

For some reason the Key Hoarder and Key Master goals aren't working for me. I currently have 129 keys from one run and on another I had about 300 through normal looting, but they don't seem to be activating. I tried crafting them incase it meant that but it didn't work either, also tried gaining them through 'on-hit' that didn't work too. Unless it means you have to non-idle click for them? At a loss, and Ascending and getting the required amount again doesn't seem to fix it.

Developer response from zapleaf

They only count when they are looted from a rock, or gained from idling. I've tested them all out and they do work for me. If you continue to have issues and know for 100% sure there is a problem, message me with details.

Wonderful game, would love to see more of this kind. The only things I think that could improve it are the cursor changing when you mouse over something clickable. The other is perhaps a run-down of our choices at the very end told to us by the girl, or something. Eg. 'By keeping this door open you chose to...' and 'by keeping this door closed, you chose to...' etc. for each door. You might have intended for us to just make our own choices and deduct from it what will will, but it could be interesting to know if there are alternate paths and you don't feel it would mess up your vision for the game. 5/5, left wanting more!

5/5 faved, the potential of this is really exciting. You have the atmosphere, the exploration and puzzle factor, if this was a full game with perhaps more locations, a theme... the possibilities are endless. I hope to see more from you in the point-and-click genre, really excited to see what you do with this. Maybe a mystery, a horror, an escape. If you expand on this you're definitely going to be a dev to watch.

Was having fun until level 20, the difficulty felt like a last level but the jump-headthrow mechanic ruined it. Even if you do everything perfectly, sometimes it just wouldn't work at that crucial moment on the moving platform. Even using space an making sure I let go of every key other than the direction didn't always work. Sure, it made it possible, but not fixed by any means. Would probably have been a 5 without the bugs but I can't give it more than a 3 as it is now. And given how it still hasn't been fixed from the previous game, I'm not sure it ever will. I hope you do, though as these games are great despite that :)

There were too many things wrong with the gameplay for me to have th patience to continue, but the story is beautiful. As someone who suffers from some of the things in this game I'm not going to lie when I say it made me eyes leak a little it :) The way things shift around you... it really feels like whoever came up with the concept for this knew how it feels to look around the world with those eyes, if that makes sense. I'm not going to rate it because I think it would be unfair seeing as this is a trial version. But with this concept, the story... wow. In a full length game with no problems, this could be a psychological masterpiece. I sincerely hope that one day this is driven to its potential.

Very disturbing, I'm quite shaky, sweaty palms and want to cry for this poor woman. However, I don't think you should alter anything or 'water it down', it's very rare to find a horror game that makes you FEEL something. A lot of horror games rely too heavily on jump-scares, which is only a bad thing if there's no substance. This game made me feel that way and there were no jump scares, which is also something rare for me to see. 4/5 but only because it was short. A full-length psychological horror with more developed characters and story would easily be a 5/5. I hope to see more from you, hopefully longer games of the same quality with convenience suggestions taken on board :) (eg. other control schemes etc.)

Great little game, the 'no two rows must be the same' aspect really adds to the puzzle, at times it can have you scratching your head where with others it can help you solve a crucial part of the field. One thing I would love to see is a level element separate from the random puzzles, it would add a goal to the game and give something to complete as an aside to the random ones. 4/5 and faved, for me personally with a well-constructed levels system it could easily be a 5 :)

I second the hint option, with just these 3 levels it wasn't 'really' needed, but certainly if you add more/harder levels. I found the difficulty odd, 1st level felt medium, 2nd felt hard (in some cases I couldn't see the pearl even after it said I got one) and the 3rd easy, I found them all in a couple of seconds. It's a good start though, hopefully you will expand on this :)

Doesn't really bring anything new, but it's a solid little puzzler with pleasant graphics and nice music. Main annoyance is having to complete a previous level to unlock the next one, some people like to try a different puzzle if they're struggling with a current one before coming back to it feeling refreshed. If you're worried about people skipping too far ahead then just lock the next level block or something. Or add an individual level-skip button.

@ichmut - You have to find all the amber-coloured stones first. I had this too, some very tiny writing tells you it in the bottom-left of the window, I would have missed it too had I not noticed it flicker. Good luck! :)
