Bah, this game is too damned hard. Cant beat level 10 for nothing. Stupid ass guns are up top (3rd iteration), 3 floaty big things are on bottom, and the guns shat out 50000000000 shells per second. How are you supposed to avoid all that again? Theres no room to move!

Guide - First of all, you start with 2000 money. Spend it! Click on where you are, then click on the various 5 dudes hanging around. Buy the 450 gold NPC, then pick up a targeting upgrade, lazer pistol, and some ammo. Then, head straight east towards one of the dude-looking places. Once you clear it, Re-enter it and there is an NPC. Buy the Rail Gun from him. It takes up Slot 3. This is an AWESOME gun. 15 shots, 1 hit, 1 kill usually and ammo is only 50 for each clip. It is the most cost-effective fast way to kill baddies. From there you can pick a rifle, gatling gun, or Blaster gun to fill slot 4.

Once that is done, you need to get the combination weapons. One is the Golden Lazer, and THEN get Double Fire. That makes a Double Fire Golden Lazer. The other combo is the rare Missile Blast and UltraFire. Finally, Wave and TetraFire. Use Time Stop liberally, mostly to avoid picking up ANY other weapons, which will ruin your setup.

Joes Quick Guide - Once you are around level 5 with time stop (one of the best nebula upgrades), you want to actively look for the dark grey Borg looking blocks. You will eventually find one that takes FOREVER to kill. Use time stop (in bursts) and ignore everythhing else. KILL IT! Keep running into it until you almost die if needed. You get THREE MILLION cash when you kill it! The next important upgrades are the Enema which cancels out all negative mods, and then the Last Forever doodad in Black Market. At the legendary shop, you get the BOnuses last thru end of round and cant be cancelled by negative effects. NOW, your guns last forever!

With all modes on (except the blaster that require syou to win the game), level 1 can be beaten in 10 seconds. Send wave 1 to their home. Wave 2 to the ruin to the east of their home. 20,000 XP. :-)

The best way to Power Level is to keep doing the first screen over and over. Things really pick up when you can do No Magic Mode, Blind mode, Sudden Death. You get a huge XP multiplier. All your skils go into Speed, Attack, Agility, Defense. You then crush them in about 1 minute.

Consumables - Medpacks are the easiest to get. You can buy them 5 for 1000 cash. Stims are 250 cash each. Note that they do boost firepower a bit, but mostly they DOUBLE your already fast regeneration, so Med+stim=super healing. --- Be really careful with your airstrikes! Only use them if you are falling 'behind', in that enemies are coming faster than you can kill them. They are very difficult to obtain.---------Finally, if one of your dudes dies, you can pay 750 cash to REPLACE the dead dude with a new guy from the upgrade window. Don't forget about this if you are doing well, but just messed up and someone died. ---Note that wounded guys have a little bar above their head while they heal. Once healed, no more bar. SO you dont have to worry about a no-bar guy and wonder if he is wounded.

Strat Guide (copy when low plz): Your money, healing, stim, etc all CARRY OVER so dont use them just because you can.--------The best way to spend your limited money is to FULLY UPGRADE your basic GUNNERs. Once that is done, buy the Minefield for 5000 because it then will mine ALL maps from then on.------- I recommend using just Gunners until you get Morter Teams. Snipers do Gunner damage but only 1 square wide. Passthru damage is nice, but not enough to justify them. Flame guys range is total crap. They are useless. Stingers are best at anti-air, which is fairly rare and not needed. Tesla doesnt actually DAMAGE ANYTHING! Gunners have decent range, good damage, nice wide area of effect.------When you can get morters, use them exclusively. They can even HIT AIR! They do more damage than gunners, same width, but area effect damage and better range. So after the minefield, start saving money to fully upgrade these guys.

The cumulative loss of health is what ruins the game. I lost 80% in my first 3 waves. Then I got enough bird power to make it to round 8. But not good enoguh apparentlky.

Just as a small hint: The clerics Stack. When your dudes are in range, they get a green medal looking thing. Hence, with a core of 5 clerics, you can have 5 medal troops, which can really kick some butt.

The last mission is pretty tough and is decided in the first three minutes. Do This-------- Build 2 collectors north of the city, then 2 more north of those. Then 2 more onto the next level, then 2 more. From there, build 3 to each side. Basically you make a big Umbrella. DO NOT MAKE ANY MORE COLLECTORS. After exactly ONE minute of gameplay, start building 4 blasters, way back next to the city. Once built, move the blasters to the edge of the north-most level where you made your umbrella. If you do this before 2:45, your blasters will beatdown the crud and the rest of the game is easy.... you simply expand the umbrella, collectors the entire area and make 8 Sams along the umbrella. Then it is easy from there. The trick is not to overbuild collectors. You want to crank out some collectors ASAP to get about 2.0 collection. THEN, that gives you enough energy to build 4 blasters and power them.

So apparently, you have to build the stupid guns WAYYYY back from the front lines. Then, 50 years later when they finally get built, you can click them and then move them into a more useful position...

It is interesting, but it sucks. I make serf tents by the dozens... on the path even. All my bars are high, food, entertainment, etc. But they REFUSE to fill the damned tents! Kinda hard to hit 750 pop, when nobody will come into my town for any reason. The mid/high are happy enough, but I needed more friggin SERFS. WTF? I had bakers out the wazoo, fish, tools, farms, etc.

By the way, there are 40 levels total. Remember...every dollar that you spend on the non-maxed out gun is totally wasted. Turret money though never gets obsolete and they are useful throughout the entire game. Ditto with Shields and defenses to a degree, even though I would recommend avoiding defense for the most part.

Keep in mind that Defense is pretty worthless. The monsters keep shooting until they are killed. Therefore, no matter if you had 10000 shields and godlike Regen, 50 foes blasting away will still overwhelm you. There ARE no grenades to clear the baddies. Go total offense with only a single regen level.------I had good luck with +1 damage, then total Turret upgrades until I got 3 of them. After that, I needed the burst-firepower and had to stop auto-playing. :-)

So the weapon type upgrades really are not very impressive. I recommend getting a single Damage upgrade to your starting gun. This will let you survive until you get 5000 cash. Then buy a TURRET. They totally kick ass, have an attack power of about 10 (5x your starter gun) and basically let you auto-play for the next 20 rounds or so. From there, the shield regen is really helpful. You can either hold out for 15k for the second turret, OR upgrade to a mark 3 lazer or so.

Joe's Hints: Getting the Rocket early is important. Once you do, when you launch, aim to be about 45 degrees for a while, cuz thats when the rocket propels you. During this, spam the Up-Up-Up trick. It is easy and safe... it wont change your rotation. When the sky changes and indicates that you are getting closer to earth, stop the trick, then land. --------From there, the most important upgrade is the BAT. You can swing the bat and hit the coconuts which give you a TON of extra trick-points. -------- The final great upgrade is the Bat Pole Vault. When close to the ground, do the Left,Down,Right,Space which will vault you. Make sure you are oriented right and keep doing it as much as you can...even at slow speeds. Each one will MULTIPLY the bonus and give you a lot of extra trick points. This is the easiest way to get the cash quickly to max out upgrades.
