One BIG problem I have: it's very hard to tell when a shrine is charged and ready to use. The only way I can find it to drop a gem on it repeatedly until it goes off. This has cost me more than one win. -1 (3/5 now)
Now THIS version I LIKE! You get to set the difficulty of the room to X degree, depending on your progress... you can defeat a level normally for so much XP, then come back again and again to add various modifiers and make it harder for more! I'll give it a 4/5 to start.
Because I love the series and expect this will probably be just as great when the lag problem is fixed, I rated it a placeholder 3/5. I'll likely up it to 5/5 like the others when it's fixed.
Second boss level: with those two missile-firing ini-bosses up first and no real way to cover an area in fire, this boss represents a MASSIVE ramping-up in difficulty. Okay game, but just too frustrating. 32/5
Noisy, staccato songs do well on this. My top cash-earning songs so far are NIN's Head Like A Hole and Audioslave's Man Or Animal. The rest are significantly behind.
I'm really bummed, it needs an Undo function, zoom ability some templates and the ability to make borders unchangeable as a toggle. It'd be amazing, but as I lack the steadiest of hands it's just an exercise in frustration.
Nester64 is way off base, which is unfortunate as his comment is in the top 5. If you disobey, the game gets more colorful and you lose detail, but you can just assume every bright red or orange square is deadly. All the spikes, crushing blocks and virus-types will appear orange/red and you can avoid them easily.
Game is godawful. It'd be alright if it didn't suffer the same element stutter that just about any flash game has. As it is, things change states a lot and one badly timed stutter will get you killed. It's not impossible, just so frustrating as to suck the fun out of it. 2/5
Teeeeeedious. Very tedious. Gem bombing sucks and crafting isn't much better. I'd say it needs a lot of work, but if it came out in 2008 then it just isn't gonna get any better. Ah well. 2/5
