Slow down a bit when you see a yellow dot. If you grab it, another yellow dot willl appear, but vanish if you grab any other dot. Grab four yellow dots in a row and you get a HUGE Force boost... much like grabbing a green dot, but twice as long!
@zordax: Did you SEE TN's comment above about using the brake sometimes? You can't just barrel through fire rain, and you do have to jump now and then to go over a meteor. Relax, tap R to restart the race if you're not satisfied, run through it a few times to learn when to do what, and remember: I've beaten it even when I'be been hit THREE times. I usually get through it untouched, I sometimes get hit once, but yeah... you can get hit three times and still win if you know what you're doing. Now, if you want a REAL challenge, try The Full Car Park or that insane roller coaster challenge where you have to reach a high boost using Lorna Daft.
My bad, I'm thinking Vampire for leech. Just work on max armor and max resists first, then weapon damage. When you max armor and resists, nothing can hurt you no matter how hard they try, so you can just plow through level after level, boss after boss!
Cursed Golem is arguably the best. Once you get your resists high enougyh, no creature can hurt you, and this combo starts with an insane +40 all resists. Also, it's damage is elemental but based on strength, not magic; while you have some chance of using a random element the target is immune to, chances are also decent that you'll hit them with something they're weak to, and you can leech healing from all these attacks. Work on building all resists first, then damage and leech ability, and you can play until your arms fall off!
I found this game tedious and unremarkable. My wife used to play an asian MMO called Trickster years ago, and this just seems like a poor knock-off. 1/5 to be kind.
Quick note: I just discovered you can also do Reindeer Boost to add another 1 to your multiplier. I am yet to be able to do Pole Valut while Cletus pulls me, though.
The Cletus trick: In the first area, save up $2000 and buy a bat. Next run, bat at several corn stalks to summon Cletus. Let Cletus pull for however long you want, then start batting corn at him to destroy him. Buy The Superman at least. On the next slope, wait a sec before running to bring up the location button. Click it to go back to the farm. Summon Cletus again (by batting corn), and when he picks you up, do a Superman and HOLD it. Right click on the screen to bring up the Adobe settings menu,, then click on another browser tab (or open another tab).
Click on the SCH3 tab again, then take a break ad let it rack up some cash. Finish, buy Up-N-Out, Up-N-Out Flip and Handstand. Practice the Front Superman (>>^, you get it when you buy the Superman). Go back to the farm, summon Cletus, do (quickly, but in any order) Up-N-Out, Up-N-Out Flip, Superman, Front Superman and Handstand (HOLD the last move you do), then do the tab switch routine again. This nets you a x5 multiplier so the cash racks up FAST. Take a break, come back, finish, buy everything. Good luck.
Lag blips are brutally punishing. This system has 4 GB RAM and a 1 GB video card and I still get them. If the game lag blips while you're holding down a key, the game continues thinking you're holding the key until you tap that key again... so your guy will keep attacking, or trying to run left, or hopping. This is a sophomore error in programming... while they can only do so much about lag with this medium, they forgot to make opposing keystrokes cancel the keystroke it opposes. 1/5 for poor play due to this oversight.
@Zanarky: which lobby you enter between games is randomly chosen by the game. When you exit a match and when you leave chat then re-enter, the game puts you in a random lobby. If you want stability, use the Kong chat rooms instead.
See the "Best Comments" section to understand why I'm rating this game 1/5. Levels need to be replayable and/or Battlefleet Capacity needs to be removed to allow levelling of new additions as you go along. IMO, more would be solved if beaten missions were replayable. Game is effectively broken.
For those who are dense like me: The Missile weapon fires a single missile at a time. The missile follows the mouse cursor until you click the mouse (which makes it explode... it took me some time spamming mouse click before I realized what it was doing!) or it hits it's range limit, an obstacle or a target. The camera follows the missile to explosion, leaving you something of a sitting duck. The missile will alert nearby tanks when it detonates, which can be handy for luring SOME tanks in a group to you without bringin ALL of them if you're far enough away. The missile packs quite a punch.
Once you get the Cannon and a couple tank upgrades ( maybe one armor and 2-4 speed/visibility/turret speed bumps), grinding the first boss level (5) to get all the remaining powerups is a cinch. Cute game, though!
Blazer, there's n interval between the client (your computer) and the server (that hosts the game) that can get a little out of sync at times. This means a bullet may not have appeared to reach you on your machine but on the server it may already be hitting you, which, of course, means give all bullets a wide berth (plenty of space) if you don't want to be hit. Also, stay out of the godlands at level 1 unless you put your good gear in the vault or are used to it, or you will die... godlands aren't intended for level 1. lastly, stop throwing a friggin fit every time you die. It's getting old, and nobody is going to reimburse you for being stupid. Get used to it or go play Tetris or something.
