Stuck on a level. You move to the right and get swarmed by foot soldiers and flies. Afterward is a fight with a mantis. Normally, you hit a "max power" globe just as you leave the last level and enter this one able to Ultimate the swarm down some, but if you die, you start again with no power and cannot Ultimate them down, and so die a thousand horrible deaths trying to pass. Good luck.
Just a note for those tentative half-way players who still get intimidated by the dungeons... Undead Lair is almost as easy as Snake Pit, and the boss is EASIER if you just have decent speed and long range. Just circle and shoot when he's firing sprays and summoning minions (shoot back to kill the minions for brown bags) and stay medium-distant when he's firing bullets, moving to slip between. I just got a Doom Bow from him!!!!!!
@KingOfJokers: It happens when enough minibosses and all the event bosses in a particular realm have been killed. However, be aware that you have a Nexus escape key (default setting is the Insert key, I always go to Nexus, enter the config screen and set it to ~... the key next to the 1 key) and that the Nexus escape key still works when Oryx has summoned everyone. When it happens, if you don't think you can handle the Oryx event and just want to get out, hit the Nexus key and poof! you're out!
Does Mattxy8 have Kreds confused with Realm Gold? One has to stand on the Buy Realm Gold icon in the Nexus to buy the gold with Kreds, and then spend the gold on Nexus items. Of course, some items cost fame instead, there's no helping that... but I just can't help but wonder if he doesn't realize there's another step in the process.
jjlay but medusa is so easy to kill! I'm nowhere near uber, but I killed her solo with a Knight using ~T8 gear. You just have to circle her constantly. Toons with longer range weapons can just constantly back away from here if you know the space behind you is safe.
andalite... if you get the patterns down properly, you can farm those caves for awesome gear and stat pots (stat pots being the trade currency of choice in this game). The keys are cheap, andeven if you're not elite, if you can learn to be careful with a staff or bow class you can farm the snake pit boss for speed pots, snake skin gear (which I also trade away for a speed pot each), tier 8 and 9 armor, tier 9 and 10 weapons (worth stat pots sometimes), and a rare shot at the unusual and highly-valued Wand of the Bulwark. More skilled players can farm even higher dungeons for better gear. The keys are fairly cheap, too. Mind you, i'm not complaining about gold... I've been farming snake pit in my sparhe time, personally... but not everything bought with gold is inconsequential.
Flags, flags, flags people. Flags give the best overall power increase for your money. As you play again and again, buy the BEST flag you can afford and work your way down from there. Ultimately, you should have all four flags and the best cannon. You CAN trade the smallest flag for another Tier 4 upgrade, but if you're interested in optimum power, your only option would be speed... and too much speed can get you in trouble. If you're goldhunting for the last flag, you might consider trading the smallest flag for max Loot, but... barring that... use four flags and the best cannon.
More vault chests but still none buyable with Fame. Boo. Fame sucks as it is now... there's nothing useful you can buy with it except the vastly-overpriced Res Ammy. I still say we should be able to buy two vault chests with fame (50 and 500) and one extra character slot (1000). Rate up if you agree.
Lava is brutal punishment for a game with serious lag issues with any number of players onscreen. It's killed me twice, and now I've lost all the good rogue gear I had. This is not encouraging people to play with others, it's penalizing them. Lava damage needs to be quartered, or lag issues definitively resolved.
Needs either a suicide key, the ability to jump while crouching, or a review of maps. Got stuck twice in little cubbyholes in the map. Anyplace where you have a spot shaped like this:
__|
| _
|_||
... means you can duck and crawl into the cubby but can't get out. Sometimes, you're just cruising from room to room, it sucks to get stuck like this.
Too simplistic for it's premise, with some awkward mechanics. The levelling curve leaps and stutters along, and you can find yourself in a world of dead by not playing it super-safe. The game needs a more consolidated potions system (preferably, the potions are not stored in inventory but seperately, up to 9 each, and can be used with single hotkeys, like Q for health and E for mana.
Found upggrades are few and far between, and you often find yourself with greatly outdated gear. Level-20 unlocked characters require entirely too much work: Knight / Paladin / Assassin / Huntress and Necro should require 10 in their base classes (Knight because it's a req for Paladin), otherwise, slow character unlocks due to needing to play super-safe deplete the joy of progression. Items/services almost globally too expensive... it's okay to want to make money, but char slots and vault chests are unreasonably priced for the quality of game. Player shsould be able to pick one thing from a character's inventory/equipment on death to keep, because sudden jumps from safe areas to deadly areas can be unexpected, unindicated, and unfairly placed. Dungeons beyond Pirate Den tend to be too uncommon to start.
This game is broken in favor of small ships, by far. Use a small or medium bubble for a central body, then just stack several of the same gun on top of it. For instance, on your first level-up, try just using a small bubble body with two Basic Cannons stacks one on top of the other... what looks like s single bullet with each shot will now do 2 damage, or 1 damage to pop a bubble and keep going for another 1 damage. This can be done with any weapon (I'm currently using a ship with a medium bubble body and 3 stacked Machine Guns.) You'll never need Heavy Cannons, Mega Cannons, Deal Heavy MGs or any of that crap, and you'll get to keep your mobility.
Varioous functions stick. To date: Walk Left, Walk Right, and Focus functions. The function sticks until the key is tapped again. I can't complete some puzzles in various modes because of this... things like getting stuck in midair focusing or walking out from under cover while cannons shoot high-velocity rounds at me. Critical bug = 1/5
