Fun enough game...but loses points for not having keyboard controls for bringing up the menu or pause. There is no reason not to have the M key bring up the menu considering the players hands will not be on the mouse. Why why make them take their hands off the keyboard and reach for their mouse to bring up the menu?
I'd love to know the sense behind the fact that it damages your car A LOT more to simply drive UP a ramp than it does when you fall from 100 feet in the air and land on your roof.
There are two serious game play flaws in this. The first is like people have said...the best strategy is not to upgrade your car but instead just buy the best car. That takes away a lot of strategy. But perhaps even worse is the way you should drive to get the most out of each day. You should drive like a 16 year old practicing driving for the first time. Jerking along in a stop and start fashion by tapping the up arrow (and nitro) rather than driving smoothly. This of course, is the worst way to drive to conserve fuel in real life, but the best way in this game.
What is the point of making you waste days in the garage? IT makes no sense. IF you wan the challenge to be do it in 13 tries, just make it do it in 13 tries.
Sorry, but this game maker thinks WAYYYYY too highly of his game if he thinks it has enough replayability to go through all those levles agaain just to get through all the "bad" bosses. It is simply not even close to being a good enough game to do all that again. It is not a bad game, but honestly, the fact that they expect me to replay it so many times actually makes me mad that I played it as much as I did.
Not a bad game...but a little slow even on fast. One silly decision by the programmer makes this game have no replayability (to get achievements) at all. The scroll through the achievements to see your progress is RIDICULOUSLY slow. How long as Windows Been around? OVer 20 years now. So why not add a bar to "grab" so you can scroll as fast as you want? Especially if you are going to make the arrow scrolling so ridiculously slow? Or maybe show the achievements in order of closest to achieve, with the already reached ones last. ANYTHING would be better than it is.
Perhaps as an incentive for boarding ships rather than destroying them, you should get to KEEP the ship. Maybe only if it is a better ship, or only if there is no damage. Or maybe, if the ship you board has not been studied, then it should cost a lot less WP to study it. After all, it would be a lot easier to reverse engineer a ship that you have boarded than to come up with the design from scratch.
Why is it so hard for people to spell a simple four letter word like LOSE once they go on the internet? Surely if they were writing it on paper they would spell it correctly.
Why WOULDN'T you allow players to easily restart a level if they didn't get all three stars on a level? Really annoying to have to go out to the menu and click on the level again. It would be really simple to just have that progress screen after finishing a level be considered part of the orevious level, so hitting restart at that point brings you back
There is nothing like a game that PENALIZES you for winning! Sorry, but the game is just not different enough from all the other (many better) cannon launching games to make me go for achievements when any time I get to the end, I not only do get the money for my distance, but I actually lose whatever money I collected in the turn. That is ridiculous.
I like these games, but this one has some problems. Especially in the speed challenges. I don't know if the cells were too small or if the "hit" boxes were off, but too often I found myself dragging toward an enemy or empty cell only to find out that the game did not register my first click in my own cell...so I wasn't creating a path after all. In the challenges every 5 levels, this was a huge problem.
One other problems is the obstacles are either to hard, or too easy. Before you get enough armor, there are way too many balloons to avoid. But once you buy some armor, they do ZERO damage so you just plow right through htem. It would be better to have fewer balloons (and satellites) but make the upgrades only decrease the damage..not totally eliminate.
Not bad...but too short. Way too easy to "win" without even upgrading all that much. And a very unsatisfying victory it was, too. No real ending, and not replayability like a distance mode. There are definitely much better upgrade/launch games out there. Some WORSE ones too, but many that are better.
A grinding game game be fun...if there is some variety in the grinding. This has absolutely no variety at all. The only variation was 3 different sized monsters for each color? That is a guaranteed to get old VERY fast.
I don't kniow if it was made by the same person, but this is at elast the second game that confuses "sound" with "music" for the icons. I click on the musical note to turn off the music but leave the sound on, and the music stays on and the sound turns off. So I see that for some reason, the speaker represents music and the musical note represents sound.
