Somehow casting 10 high attack bolts + 5 high attack bolts + 5 low attack bolts + 5 low and high attack bolts that are all special decreasing, burning, have some other abilities I cannot recollect right now, and are followed by 5 additional countering high and low attack bolts is extremely, extremely gratifying ^^ Chaos desert definitely my favourite clan, just because I love overkill :D
I don't agree with that this has zero replay value, or that it is worse than Balloon in a Wasteland for that matter. On balloon in a wastelands you have many options - forts, traps, turrets etc THAT YOU NEVER HAVE TO USE. You can just buy the second gun and then the assault rifle and keep repairing your balloon and finish before the 9th wave - even ignoring stamina loss. Now that is what I call 0 replay value. Here you can finetune your strat every time trying to do it just that little bit faster, what makes all the fun for me. I had the 'right' path pinned down pretty much at the beginning, finishing on wave 16. After some practice aiming, wave 15. With finetuning my strategy, I can now finish at the start of or halfway wave 13. I doubt it can be done faster, but trying gives this game replay value for me ^^
I just ignored the the elaborate sleep/trap/fort/repair/stamina etc system and went for the second pistol + upgrades the first time shopkeeper came and the assault rifle with upgrades third time he came. Never bothered with traps, turrets, forts and ignored accuracy loss. Balloon repaired before the start of wave IX. Somehow I think you're not supposed to be able to do that :p
Score should be based on speed of completion, not whatever it's based on now. I don't care much for scores normally but I'd like to compare with others to know if it's possible to do it faster. Right now I finish the game at the start of wave 14 (on average). Anyone doing it faster? Let me know :)
Very enjoyable game - a bit too easy though. For those having a hard time, you may want to use my strategy; basically upgrade the xp and cash gain skills first (1 in both first level up, then xp gain, cash gain, xp gain, cash gain) Buy the 2d gun as soon as you can. Money and xp will come fast. Then go uzi ---> m16... done with the weapons, no need to save for the minigun. Important skills are accuracy (only 1 point needed, maybe 2), reload and car repair. Repair car every chance you get. Just max the skills you'd like whenever you level up after getting reload and car repair fully. Accuracy is hardly needed, health regen and health packs too because packs are so cheap. Ow, and do not stand on your car; not needed with a tiny bit of skill and it will only slow you down. Use mines after getting the m16 and a few waves later you will have the car 100%
This game is awesome ^^ Love the chaos. And how is this hard? I'm not that great of a gamer, especially in shooters, but it is EXTREMELY easy. Just upgrade gun once or twice, save for triple shot, upgrade gun fully, get missiles and extra cannons and upgrade the rest. Keep being extremely offensive, take the fight to them. They nearly ever TOUCHED my main base :~
So.... increasing a skill increases both cooldown AND mana cost whilst only slightly increasing the damage? Seems to me level 1 skills may be more worthwhile at times.
Lol, I just noticed that the character shown that short moment before it starts rolling a random one has the titles 'the temporary and nonpermanent' Love these little jokes, and they show the makers attention to detail
Had problems playing a pure mage (and here I mean the kind that only takes intelligence and willpower and does not use tricks such as using minions and charm spells etc strategically) untill I discovered the Kitilid + bolt combination. This will give one lots of damage through bolt while having the diversity of swarm for lightning immunes/ mana managament and the mass swarm for those times one runs into a group of closely knit enemies.
The thing about maxing all holy stats and all unholy except the last one (shadow) compared to both your builds is that it is just completely invulnerable (as in having to rest very rarely and never coming close to dying) in most circumstances, while STILL dealing respectable damage. And as for the fun factor; I enjoy watching enemies fall like flies while my health rarely drops at 3/4 to 100% ^^ And that is not when killing lower levels. To each his own I guess. But I think we can at least agree on the fact that the priest is awesome ;) It's just so damn reliable. 'Burst damage but get raped in a second' classes can be fun in a realtime game where it requires skill, but in an idle game like this reliability and longevity is what I want.
I really like this game. I have trouble really playing it as an idle game, I find myself watching the screen a lot :) I find the priest is an excellent build for its perfect balance between superior heals and some damages. I *would* be coupling either holy or unholy with the discipline skills, but I find the first two discipline skills very weak and the last one not up to par(resurrect WOULD be good if you kept on fighting) so I went for my 'holy shadow' build. Basically just max holy skills and every unholy except the last one. You get the best of both worlds. With good items you don't die, never have to rest, and deal quite respectable damage still. Still trying it out but I find from level 40 and on you just keep getting stronger compared to same levels.
The only fun way to play this is in one playthrough - no escape wings, no new quests etc. It is flawed in many ways but still manages to be plain fun. Like it, but it could be so much better.
Fun game... for a while. But how this rates higher than monsters den is beyond me. Heck, how this rates second in rpg flash games while many good ones aren't even in it is beyond me o.O
This game would benefit greatly from a tutorial covering the basic aspect of roles of the different bots, teamplay, tactical retreating and such. I find I hardly ever play anymore because either my entire team consists of idiots, or the opposing team plays awfull. Neither is much fun. If the opposing team is stupid, it's a cakewalk. And nothing is as frustrating as being the only good player on your team. If the other players are just barely decent but teamwork well and has no truly BAD players, it is still game over.
High scores on apocalypse must be hacked lol... with a perfect strategy and score I get like 340.000 at most. Ok, I can accept that I'm eternal second and some guy named Adie gets about 100,000 points more every time (allthough within the games margins I'm even suspicious of that) However when you look at the alltime and monthly scores people get scores of 77 million and more.... which is simply impossible.
