This really isn't a very good game. Replaying the same mission over and over again, but with different mission numbers and stronger enemies, really gets old fast. Nerdook fanboys... please wake up and realize that nerdook won't be able to make good games if you don't give him honest feedback about his current ones.
Not bad so far as characters go, but the story is a bit too simple for my taste. The mini-game is a nice touch, as is the pet. Unfortunately the randomly generated dungeons, with their never-ending supply of box shaped rooms, just don't look or feel interesting in any sense. I'm afraid Mardek tops this one in every way. Of course, comparing any RPG to Mardek is a bit unfair.
Any friend of Psuedolonewolf's is a friend of mine! Not that Psuedolonewolf has any idea who I am. I'm a fan. Anyway, solid first game. Starting with the basics is a great thing, and it can be expanded from here should the dev have interest in further game making. Also, the graphics are quite good.
A grind fest, but an accurate reflection of what WOW would be like without other people to interact with or creative writers for the various quests. Overall very boring.
So what are people not getting about the fact that the aliens are not invincible? They do die when killed by normal weaponry. The problem is that they eventually reanimate. The technology they stole, however, will explode just as well as any other aircraft/vehicle. The army has been either killing the things to keep them within the border. If they find them outside the border, I assume they kill them and put them back inside before they can reanimate. They can't exterminate them, because the things just come back to life, so they contain the problem. Making sense yet, people?
Early on I would have said "Grab the pet that turns air into ground, then just build boulder towers... how boring!" Since then I've seen that mist towers are very effective against fast enemies while boulder towers have trouble with them. Is it worth the 3.5x cost? Maybe. This is a pretty decent TD.
Ah... another "Art" game. But I've played a lot of "Art" games recently, so I suppose I'll have to do something equally enjoyable instead... like swallowing a rusty screw. But to be fair, bias against art games aside, this was a short and simple platformer. Too short and too simple. It's great if you have a story to tell, but if you're going to do it in game form, make the game enjoyable too!
A pointless but addictive game. I found myself irritated that I'd wasted my time playing it... yet unable to stop until I'd gotten "just one more rank!"
