Excellent story&dialogue, with both well crafted humor and interesting character development. For those who want to get straight to the action, a skip feature lets them do just that! The action itself is marvelous, giving us weapons each useful in different situations along with level designs that present us with said different situations. The upgrade system allows for a highly customizable character&ship, and some of the bosses offer a very unique fighting experience. Absolutely 5/5, Excellent game.

It's FULL of dialogue, so it's a good thing that dialogue is done well. It tends to be either well crafted humor or interesting character development. Also, thank heavens for the option to skip the rather wordy cut-scenes for those who want to get straight to the action. The fact that there is level design rather than just empty space to scroll through is a HUGE plus. I enjoyed the variation added by such things as floating islands and caverns. Another big plus is the upgrade system, which allows for a great deal of customization. Definitely a great game, 5/5 all the way.

This game is about as similar to portal as contra is to metal gear. That is to say, not much at all. I do think that this is a somewhat entertaining platformer, but it's far too easy to hold your attention for long.

Yeah, I agree that stealing graphics and sounds is a pretty lame thing to do. Hell, the guy even stole the plot! The fact that it's an okay TD really doesn't make up for rampant theft, IMO.

The game becomes disproportionately difficult towards the end. I can understand a slowly ramping difficulty as a game progresses, but to suddenly go from not being able to get scratched to fighting for your life is a little much.

Same as the previous game, with very few new weapons. The ball and sword and such are pretty cool, but I'd rather not grind a bunch of achievements for the second time... once was enough for me.

Great game! Simple but challenging, and refreshingly enough the upgrade system is skill based rather than grind based. I wouldn't say it makes it easier for skilled players, though. Merely attempting the medals makes things much more difficult by the player's own choice; a fantastic way to implement different degrees of challenge without having to put in the old easy/normal/hard choice. Again, this is really a great game.

The story elements have very obviously been focused upon by the developer, which makes sense being that this game was intended to give us history for another upcoming game. Unfortunately I feel that other aspects of the game suffered for this. The animations are all very boring to watch, and none of the enemies are much more creative than stronger versions of melee&ranged. The upgrade system is also sadly barebones for a game that has such a heavy RPG feel. I do appreciate that the use of skills is very much necessary to a successful defense, but I feel like most of them were pretty much the same thing (AoE). Bottom line: There's a lot of room for improvement here.

Darn good take on the line tower defense. The computer opponents are surprisingly challenging, and the "tower wars" aspect is something I haven't seen in flash line TDs before. 5/5

I'm not a fan of the fact that several upgrades are barely that. x2 range for archers is great, and I'm not one to downplay the importance of having superior range in any game, but for x3 the cost? May as well just spam non-upgraded archers, you'll get three times the hp and damage than if you used the upgraded version. Which brings me to my next point... archer spam beats everything else. Not a good thing to include in any game, it reduces the whole experience to loading up on archers in the selection screen and then pressing the button to spawn them. I do like the fact that the game has a bit of personality, and the option to send your commander out onto the field (uselessly cost ineffective though that may be). Overall not a very good game.

Finding a weapon to clear the bushes at the start is very Secret of Mana, probably an intentional reference what with the stamina system. This game is a big improvement over Castaway 1, which I already considered to be quite a good game. 5 stars all the way.

@tedweird: Height advantage is already added into the tower's damage stat when you check it, so it's really just 80*1.45 for radiance, 116 total. Constant damage towers do their stated damage over two hits, all non-percentage modifiers are divided between the two (A knight's shield, which blocks 8 dmg, will block 4 from each hit). Yours would be doing 116/2 which is 58, the correct amount.
