That said, I apologize to the dev for the harshness of that comment. I'm no stranger to programming, and I know that this must have taken a month or two at least to put together. I stand by my earlier comment, but aplaud your hard work.
The story is nonsense and the games are about as spartan as you can get in terms of graphics and fun without devolving into pong. I was saddened by the high rating on this waste of time.
I'm a bit offended that collecting the 25 journal bits is listed as a "hard" badge. The only goal that even comes close in this simple little game would be to collect everything.
Very beautiful graphics, but there's not much to this game aside from that. The hints of story are nice, though it would have been better if at least some portion of it were told during the actual game. I'm sorry to say that this boils down to a short fetch quest... emphasis on short.
I'm not a fan that most, if not all, of the levels have exactly one solution. And thus no way to do better or worse unless your reflexes aren't up to dropping certain command stones in time. I'm also not a fan of the senseless deaths of cute things. Why are some people interested in this? Is is some kind of goth thing?
And I thought the original creeper was good. Well, it was. So that makes sense. Anyway, this game is a new take on an excellent concept. Very good show!
Guys, the reason you can't beat level 8 is because you think you need to defeat the air waves. Just take the damage, it's way cheaper than building the hordes of air you'd actually need to kill those planes (and you'll still take a lot of damage doing that anyway)
Very well balanced with interesting new concepts for enemies. The wall tunnelers in particular, I have never seen before. The level of difficulty can be infuriating at times, but this is definitely a first class TD.
I wouldn't down-rate a game for lag, but it seems only reasonable to do so for bugs. Bugs = lack of polish. However I've discovered none so far in this game :) Unless you count upgraded-drone farming, which makes IR gain a breeze. 4/5
I feel that some of the buffs are close to useless. For example: Why waste a turn buffing your attack by 25% for three rounds? If we're talking normal attacks, you've just wasted some of your character's valuable energy to deal less damage than you would have attacking all four rounds. If you use those three turns to hit with specials, you may see a marginal payoff, assuming you aren't stunned during any of those three turns. The buff that guarantees a critical is somewhat more useful if joined with a powerful attack ability, but not by much. There are more weak buffs like this.
MUCH better than the previous incarnation. The town, actual progress through a dungeon with bosses, even the simplistic buy/sell function. MUCH better.
Suffers from lack of depth, like most "art" games. And yes, I mean philosophically as well as in terms of gameplay. Not terrible, but nothing I would rate higher than a 3.
I swapped a spell, and it caused a bug. Here's the situation: I had Teleport and Magic Armor equipped (along with others, but they aren't important). I removed Teleport and equipped Stone Skin. The very next spell I cast happened to be Magic Armor, but instead of working normally, it acted as though I had cast Teleport! Stone Skin worked normally, but the problem with Magic Armor thinking it was actually Teleport persisted.
Does the dev think that all something needs to be entertaining is a cliche "dark and mysterious" atmosphere? This had no real story worth mentioning and the puzzle aspect of it was unengaging to say the least. This one was just a waste of time.
It's nice to see some people remeber Infinite Tower RPG
