I kinda like this game at first, but I think it draws a little too much from MMORPGs. Why can I jump like Mario, but can't get over hills that come up to my waist?
Neat story! In part, or maybe because it was completely separate from the gameplay (except where you made it overlap). Also good gameplay. The only bug I saw was that you can run through doors and walls, which allowed me to beat some levels the unintended way. I still liked the game though. I wouldn't give it the horror tag, but I still liked it.
"You have to go right." "The ending is better if you go all the way right." "This is a horror game." Those are all things I'm hearing from you, but I didn't feel rewarded for going all the way right, and I didn't get scared at all =/
It'd be cool if the end-of-level or death menu told me what level I'm on. Sometimes I wanna switch characters for the boss or something, but have to exit to menu to find out if it's time yet or not.
Man, there's so many types of bullets, enemies, and costumes - no wonder it took you this long to make this game, it's amazing! And so is the music - I love the boss songs. The one for Queen Bee reminds me of Pluto (the DDR song) - were you inspired by it?
I have to echo the previous comments - I love the fact that I can use a controller with this. I think it's hilarious that the handicaps help the enemies and all the power-ups are called cheats. I like the way you added plot to this one, and the difficulty bump (I'm finding Heavenly really challenging in area 2!) And the improved graphics are cool, though I sortof miss the larger screen from BH1. Overall a very fun game so far (haven't finished yet)
