This suffers from all the classic problems with adventure games.
compounded with the fact that you have to restart COMPLETETLY and you can't make stubbylegs walk any faster gives this a 2/5 - at least the art is decent.
Got to level 100 and died vs the flying boss. Since flying occurs across the entire board you can't really play with 'strategy' - just build towers all the way across. It's hideously expensive.
No reward whatsoever, and the expensive towers are practically useless - the only advanced towers I built were the lightning towers.
WTF catapults have 1% stun!? That's completely useless. There's no reason to build anything other than archers, ballistae, lightning (for stun) and wizard towers.
3/5 for imbalance and being incredibly slow
Awesome job improving the game - making the water push the bricks down means if you want to keep your combo setup, you have to think about the water placement!!! Still needs music and maybe increase the # of bombs/flames a bit... ramp up the difficulty more slowly. 4/5 for now, keep improving it! ^_^
The time aspect is impressive, but removes all challenge from gameplay - simply get the balls near the top and keep reversing time to smash the wall apart endlessly. Great work on emulating the 2600 style, but more is needed for an enjoyable game.
far too hard, no reward, the background was interesting but made me dizzy. Arrow key controls are awful and only add to the insane difficulty - this would be better if it followed the mouse like every other 'dodge'em' game out there.
Cute, fun, overall very well presented. The puzzles made a little more sense than your average pixel-hunt.
Finding out where to put the bowl was STUPID though. I knew exactly what to do, but I couldn't figure out how I was supposed to use the items together to do what I wanted. v_V
need to explain all the mechanics, maybe a tutorial for each sport? I figured out the 'z and x to run', only to realize OH, now I have to press space... and for the pole vault I have to press space AGAIN... but it didn't tell me that... Just remove a bit of the frustration.
There's not much here, but I like the artwork. 3/5
This reminds me of Starflight (c64, Genesis), and Solar Jetman (NES). Both fantastic games in their own right. The chipmusic is good, but got annoying. I love the gameplay mechanics and the retro-arcade graphics. The aliens and combat need to be polished up a bit. It took me a bit to figure out the little round asteroids had resources and the moons themselves actually didn't. I found the flight controls actually okay, but the rover seemed painfully slow at times.
Expand more on this game and I'm sure you could get 5/5 ratings, for now just 4/5 for lack of polish but I def. enjoyed it!
