Ok, the thing with enemies just randomly not taking damage is annoying enough that it pretty much ruins the game for me. I get so, so sick of battles that shouldn't be that hard getting drawn out or even turning into losses because one of those boss units spawn up and don't actually take any damage, so they just kinda saunter up and kill off all my units as we pound away and deal out many, many times the amount it would usually take to kill off the boss, just hoping that the game eventually snaps out of it and the thing starts taking damage again. The execution of this game is so freaking clumsy and sloppy and poorly balanced with a side order of terrible english that it's impossible to actually play and enjoy, which is unfortunate because the idea behind it is pretty good and I normally really like match 3 games.
Ok, it looks like you're supposed get the guy to land AND cut down a certain percentage of ice, so that the water rises above the line...and how the hell were we supposed to figure that out? There is absolutely no logical connection between melting the ice and raising the water level...
What the hell is even the goal? On level one you randomly cut some ice apart and pass with no rhyme or reason to it, on the second level I think "Oh, ok, the goal is to get the guy in the ice to the ground"...except then I got to level 3, get the guy to the ground, and nothing happens. It just sits there. I find it really hard to believe that this game legitimately made it to 3.8 without any sort of underhanded crap, as it kinda makes it tough to actually play a game when it never even comes close to instructing you what the f*ck you're supposed to do. We get some random nonsensical little videos that don't explain anything whatsoever aside from extremely simple stuff we could've easily figured out on our own.
Idk, it's far too easy to wind up just sitting there with maxed buildings and neither side progressing. What do you even do at that point? I mean, if the game is designed so that you and your opponent max about equally, I'm not entirely sure how it wouldn't have been abundantly clear what an issue that would be long before the game was actually released...
Ok, I'm not sure what is up with this game anymore, but it seems to incessantly have trouble connecting. I connect to everything else perfectly fine, I 100% only have a problem with this game. When I try to go to the nexus or to my vault it will randomly just not connect, it will repeatedly try and fail over and over again. I mean, there are times I wind up not being able to even play because I can't actually connect to anything whatsoever. It's really, really beginning to get on my nerves. Like, a lot. I don't often sink money into games, but seeing as this one has actually managed to get a few bucks out of me I expect the god damned thing to work.
Are they going to, like, get around to giving this achievements for once? I was kinda waiting to play because I figured it would surely be no time flat before this had badges, but somehow that hasn't really been the case...
Hah, before I read the comments I even looked at the description and instructions and said "Ya know what? There's something...off, about this. Was this by the original developer?". First off both sections are very short and not terribly descriptive, they use "passed" instead of "past", and it talks about getting the "3 sized sheep" to the right side, which is a very weak and poorly phrased way of describing the game's goals. This is all in stark contrast to the usually fairly intellectual writing of the developer of the series, and it does not sound in the least like how a dev would describe the anticipated release of the next installment of the series they've worked hard on. It sounds far, far more like, idk, a dumbass stole the game and is writing their dim-witted description of it. Def flagged. Someone would have to be a real assclown to think they could get away with stealing something like this without anyone realizing it...
I def agree with lolomator, wep upgrades should be able to be switched; sure, we can reset talents, which is nice, but we can't change wep upgrades which is where it really counts. I mean, we're entirely in the dark when it comes to final weapon upgrades/changes/whatever, we're basically left to simply guess how we'll like it based on the totally inadequate little description we get beforehand. At least being allowed to test the wep changes out before we have to commit to them would be nice, what with them being permanent and all...
Yeah, those little mines the guys with staffs throw out drop items/coins upon exploding as if they were normal enemies who'd died. Of course upon finding this out I went ahead and accumulated a bunch of staff guys and collected all the coins their mines dropped, which gave me enough money to gain some 50 upgrade points. That allowed me to buy and fully upgrade everything (or at least everything except close range weps seeing as they suck the nuts) and thus ruined the game for myself. I always wind up doing that crap, damn it...
Haha I don't know why I decided to leave it that way when I noticed it. Probably I just wondered who will notice it and exploit it. Now I am a happy man.
Seems awfully silly and aimless imo. We're just kinda dropped in there and wander through levels...overall I just find it very tough to care at all about any of it.
I liked the original, and while this one absolutely had the potential to be really good, it just kinda...isn't. I mean, it's ok, but as others have said, there's way the hell too much grinding and although I'm doing my best to think the devs had good intentions (I'm quite positive there has to be a word to far more succinctly convey the idea of wanting to believe someone has good intentions, but if there is I can't think of it now...) I can't help but get this very strong sense that they intentionally made it grindy in an attempt to get people to pay them, and there's nothing that's going to sap the score out of a game quite as efficiently as people realizing the game sacrifices gameplay solely in the interest of making the creator more money. That doesn't fly with most people.
Pfft, when I originally played through this I thought "Ya know, I'm really, really happy that they didn't do something dumb like make an achievement for getting all brilliant ratings or whatever. Otherwise I'd be much more affected by stuff like divers that appear to be solely designed not to actually get away with my gems, but just to grab them and ruin my rating, which would really piss me off and leave me with a bad taste in my mouth regarding the game overall. It would've just been really un-fun. So I'm glad they didn't do that!". Well, needless to say they went on ahead and added that in later on, so now I AM pretty annoyed. How the hell are you supposed to deal with level 20 without anything touching your gems? Idk, regardless, I'm rage quitting for the moment.
Whoah, hold on now, I was told that I was supposed to "score" by any means necessary. So what if I ate the roofies, passed out, then woke up naked in a gutter? I'd say someone probably had their way with me then. That should be mission successful. No one said I had to remember or enjoy "scoring".
Actually, there is, in fact, no such thing as a scorpion capable of killing a healthy human with its sting. At most their venom simply causes a fairly sizable amount of pain. Even a person who was allergic would almost certainly pull through. A person would have to be stung a whole lot of times for a scorpion sting to be of any real danger to them. Hollywood just figures that if people think scorpions are ridiculously poisonous they can be used as convenient plot devices.
I liked it...at least for the short time in which it lasted. I'm disappointed, when I read that it was supposed to be roguelike I'd assumed it would be really long and involved, which it obviously isn't so much.
No, it must be longer. Longer! Of course this is one of those cases where I simply liked the game enough that I could have played much more of it, so I guess the fact that I wish it was longer is a good sign...
Oh, and what, you have to pay to play the other half of the classes? That's bullshit, I had thought they'd be unlocked by finishing the game with certain characters. There goes my hopes of playing as a shaman again. Man, if by the time I'm at the character select screen I already don't have access to half the content one has to wonder exactly how much of the game we're going to be expected to pay for. Sorry son, there are far, far better games out there that either don't cost anything or have premium content that's an appropriately small part of the overall game and the developer only expects to be bought as a small addition to the game for people who really love it. Locked content here may only cost 5 dollars, but that's honestly probably 5 dollars too many.
Well you can play with 5 classes and unlock 2 endings per each of those two, so you have to beat the game at least 6 time to get all the endings, also you have to beat the game 10 times to try all combinations, without needing to expend a penny, the premium content is only for people who love the game and want to support us, you dont have to buy anything if you dont want to :D
Just throwin' this out there: you may want to give us a specific "mute voices" option. Maybe I'm unusual in this, but I find voice acting to be very awkward in games. That goes even for professional-type games, so needless to say that means I find voice acting in less professional settings to be REALLY awkward. Again, I may be somewhat odd in all that, but I feel like there have to be enough others out there who agree to warrant an option to mute dialogue.
Haha I don't know why I decided to leave it that way when I noticed it. Probably I just wondered who will notice it and exploit it. Now I am a happy man.
