Yeah, the hard badge is impossible. Not to mention I lag like crazy on it on top of it, which makes the already kind of stupid jumping system even worse, which just makes the absurd-ness of the badge even worse. There's a reason it's called insane, not just 'hard'.

Finally, I got the stupid freaking 1875 in 2 slice mode. Unfortunately all that involves is going back to old levels that you weren't meant to get 100% on and repeatedly trying to cut it in weird ways hoping that eventually one will randomly work and you'll get a better percentage.

I've got a number of issues here. First off, having weps eventually get destroyed is a terrible idea. If you're going to do that, at the least make weapons WAY more common and have WAY more durability. Even that's annoying though, and no one wants to upgrade a weapon that's going to disappear. Another issue is that everything seems chaotic with little real, detailed instruction. Heck, I still have yet to figure out is what's going on with combos when an enemy rebounds from a wall. Sometimes they rebound and comes back I get to swing again. Sometimes they just smacks into my guy, he/she takes one damage, and that's it. I have no idea why. Both upgrades and money feel kind of useless as they're both primarily used to better upgrade weapons, which feels like a waste to begin with. The 'unfriendliness' of all the features really takes this game, with a very original battle system and a seemingly very good base idea behind it, and turns it into something just not very fun.

Developer response from turnA

Thanks for the feedback. I make the weapon the way it is, so player should used them sparingly. I'll try to make it more clear on the next update.

Are you kidding me here? I don't recall having much of an issue with the first one. It was a while ago, but I know if I had any trouble it was certainly not all too significant an amount. This on the other hand...I mean, I realize my reasoning skills may not be as sharp as they were a couple years ago when I was still in school, but if there was no walkthrough I would have trouble believing that more than perhaps 5% of the people who attempted would actually make it through the whole game. Maybe I'm missing something. Maybe it's just something that clicks and all of a sudden makes sense. I sure hope something's up, because by the time I gave up and started using a walkthrough, a few levels through the conditionals set, the solutions were already getting insane, and by the expert set they were straight up completely absurd.

I guess I'm confused as to why they didn't just use the land they were using to grow opium to just grow plants to make tea instead. Then again I guess if both opium and tea were legal in britain, and just tea was legal in asia, then as with anything illegal people would be willing to buy the opium at premium prices, so the british would be able to buy a hell of a lot more tea by selling opium than by just growing it. On the other hand, maybe some of these british people should give opium a try. Afterwards they'd probably kick themselves for trading it away for stupid, lame freaking tea all this time.

That's the unfortunate part about prequels when you've already seen the original and know the ending is depressing. No matter what happens or what anyone does, you already know it's going to turn out badly...

For the people who keep getting hit by the laser on the blocks...what did you just learn blocked lasers? Only, like, a couple levels ago? That could easily and quickly block the laser after hitting the switch?

A somewhat 'different' prequel? I sure hope you don't mean 'different' like how people use the word to describe others without straight up saying they're retarded and spastic. "That 2darray, he's...well...he's a little *different*."

Ah, that ended kind of abruptly. Don't we get some sort of closure? If there's going to be a continuation, a cliffhanger of some sort? What happened to the other hitman dudes who totally killed that awesome old man? Don't we get retribution in the form of shooting their asses? What's with the last two guns? I guess if you're lucky you could gamble for em', but what would the point even be? When does our dude realize that the emotionally needy hot (stick) woman (with stick boobs) he's been housing with is insane, and probably collects his pubic hairs and makes dolls from em' or something? The hot ones always crazy. How do we avoid the police getting wise to us? Or the crazy chick doing so? Does our dude find something else to do, or does he continue killing people for a living? Does he flee the country with the crazy chick to live out a long retirement on a tropical somewhere in the pacific? Damn it, these questions are a matter of life or death! How could you leave us hanging?!

I'm kind of disappointed. I zoomed in and read the newspaper hoping that it would have something interesting or would call me an assclown or something. Alas, it turned out that it was just a bunch of jumbled letters. All the wasted potential that could have been put towards quality insults directed at my mother greatly saddens me.

Well, the idea is certainly original, even if it does make me question what series of events lead to it and whether or not the authorities were involved. As for the game though, I liked it, but imo there are a few issues...Eh, really only one; player control. It's frustraingly hard to control movement w/ any accuracy. W/o a wall to stop on tight turns are tough to make. If you try to delicately tap keys for slight movement, and press just a bit too slowly, the dog retracts the entire way with nothing at all you can do. While I realize you prob didn't want us to be able to stop in mid air, at least put in a slow mo func. or w/e so we can make tight turns. There also needs to be an actual retract button. As in if you press a dir., the dog would keep going until you hit retract, then stop if you hit it again. Of course all of the above would be easier to implement if the dog just stopped moving when you stopped pressing rather than forcing you to continually press something...

Another issue was the upgrades, as others have mentioned. I'm sort of assuming, due to the conspicuous lack of any damage upgrade, that you were going for an 'indirect' approach, but I guess I don't understand why. The ones that are there are still enough to make a significant difference in whether one won or lost, so why not just go all the way and have normal, obvious upgrades like damage, shot speed, tower cost, etc? It's silly to just go half-way with something like that. Another issue I agree on is the speed button. It toggle, or we should have an option as to whether or not to be able to do so, or at the very, very least there should be a hotkey we can hold down. It would be nice if tower upgrading had a little more depth to it too and we had a wider range of support options, namely a much lighter option that we could use to gun down single enemies that slip through. My main issue was the lack of freedom I outlined in my last comment though. That's what mainly bothered me.

Ok, I like the game and the difficulty feels right, but imo it's got some issues. First off, you have very little freedom. Every level feels like you have to do it the way the developer wants. It's bad enough with limited spaces to put towers, even more so with energy makers since they require special spaces, but on top of it rather than giving options as to what a gun targets first, it just targets the unit it specializes in. So for example there may be a big scorpion guy with re just barely in range. That sort of works out for medium guns and up, but with smalls that means a single larger enemy can totally screw you up if it slips through with even a sliver of health. That only further kills any illusion one may have of actually being able to develop a personal strategy. Continued in next comment...

I'm having trouble getting the game to work. Right after selecting whether to mute or not, it starts going to the doppler game intro thing, then freezes. If I scroll up and down a few times it will advance until 'doppler games is in the middle, then that's it. My flash plugin has been a little screwy recently and no one else is saying anything, so I'll keep trying. I just figured I'd mention it just in case.

It's obviously just me, but with this particular protector game I seem to lose...like, always. continually. I don't seem to have any issue with the main quests, but essentially any other 'normal' quest I always get beaten on. And the thing is usually it's not even like the whole thing is too hard; rather I get to within around maybe 5 waves from the end, and all of a sudden some ridiculous wave with 8 gajillion enemies, all of which take multiple hits to kill, comes streaming out of the entrance and absolutely destroys me. The thing is I haven't ever had a problem with any other protector game. This is the first one that I've had an issue with. I'm assuming I must be going about something the wrong way. Since I don't seem to have an issue with the main quests, I guess I'll try finishing those first then trying the 'normal' quests and see if that helps...
