The timer on the last shot is rather frustrating. It cost me more than one success when the last person was about to die then it timed out and called me a failure. Why not wait till everything stops moving, like the first four shots?
Skout - run the numbers for a decent while. I recorded hundreds of upgrades (given, it was before I upgraded muta-freq) and I got an average prob of 30% (every 8th is guaranteed, and (7*20%+100%)/8=30%. Bad runs happen (that's randomness for you), but they often even out over time.
SuperJen - Hover over the box for instructions. Use the prefix "=" to buy a specific number accounting for twins, and use "@" to buy what's needed to reach a specific number.
This game does not teach math. 0.6+0.6=1.2, NOT 0.12. As with the fraction game, putting the numbers to the right of a decimal does not make a new game nor a good game for teaching children math. Also, again, kindly refrain from forcing a redirect to an outside website without warning.
How is this supposed to teach children math? Sure, 0/3+0/3 technically equals 0/6 (since it's essentially 0+0=0), but 0/96+0/96 doe NOT equal 1/92. Really, adding a fraction line between the hundreds and tens digits does not make a new game, and it certainly does not make a game for teaching kids math. Also, I do not appreciate being redirected to a separate website without warning. 0/5
Mausolus: If you exit the larva description it will list the numbers for each section under the larvae tab and give you a drop down menu with the ability to purchase upgrades (inc. hatcheries and expansions). This way you can see if you gain mutagen without scrolling.
For everyone complaining about the randomness of mutagen - mutations aren't reliable in nature. They're random. Just focus on your swarm and allow the mutagen to come in its own time. Personally, I feel it adds to the game as it is more than it would as a reliable every-upgrade thing.
Feobl: All right, so then the only issue in my quick tips is my estimation of the limit in tip number 3. In tip 2, I advise purchasing the twin upgrade as long as your larvae are getting you more than half of your passive production (since then the twin upgrade will bump larval production up over passive).
Feobl: Will you be able to buy new units with larvae faster than you can produce them automatically with the next unit up? If not, I'm afraid you're likely wasting your larvae and they would be better spent on the higher unit.
Quick Tips: 1. Purchase "Faster" upgrades when you have 2x the cost - too early will drop your rate, too late will miss some time it could have been faster. 2. Purchase "Twin" upgrades immediately as long as larva are getting you better than half what you get automatically. 3. In fact, hold off on buying the next level of meat unit until it can get you the next twin upgrade, up to FOUR (4). That is, the twin upgrades that cost 1, 10, 100, and 1,000. Past that, twin upgrades aren't really worth it. For example, if you have one twin drone upgrade already, wait to buy queens until you can buy TEN (10), then buy those and immediately buy the next twin drone upgrade. Then wait to buy ONE HUNDRED (100) queens at once and immediately buy the next twin drone. 4. If you're stepping away from the game for a decent amount of time, ignore number 3 and buy the higher level units.
For anyone with stupidly massive numbers of things, who has no idea what's going on anymore, there is an option tab which lets you switch to scientific notation, among a few others. You know, like 5.62e125, rather than whatever random name might be given to such an outrageous number. Much easier to work with.
What happens to previously spent mutagen when you ascend? Does it persist, or is it reset like everything else? I've ascended once, working toward my next, want to be prepared to account for the answer to this question.
Ripiz - There are reasons to send trucks from a further plant, including load-queue (maybe the closer plant has a larger queue of orders to fill, and so will take longer) or the end of the level rush to get trucks on the road (sending trucks further enables more trucks to be on the way when time runs out, and they all complete the drop off before the level ends). As such, manual selection is the best baseline.
However, it would be nice to have an option to auto-select which plant to send from.
ZerVexon - You failed to make a proper connection between whether there SHOULD and whether there WILL be a sequel, and there are a few other problems in your logic as well.
IF the fans want a sequel, AND the game creator serves the fans' desires, THEN there will be a sequel.
IF there will be a sequel, THEN the main character can NOT be dead.
The fans want a sequel.
ASSUMPTION: The game creator serves the fans' desires.
THEREFORE, there will be a sequel.
THEREFORE, the main character can NOT be dead.
IF the assumption is correct, THEN please fix the drop down issue in the sequel. It took a lot of pleasure out of the otherwise most appreciable points in the game.
It's vaguely frustrating that the drop downs have answers that don't fit and no scroll bar, and when you try to scroll one to find the correct answer it scrolls the rest of them too.
Oh is it! It shouldn't end that way, thnx I will look into it.
