I can't seem to find a way to start over on a level, short of refreshing the browser. If I go out to the level select or main screen, and reselect the level, it just picks up where I was.
As the mage becomes able to wield a non-ranged mace and sword later on, I think a possibility would be for the warrior and cavalry to gain ranged options later. Say, like a javelin for the warrior and a bow for the cavalry (horsebowman).
Yeah, make that a lightning and a charge; of course I know the light armor ability is a 5-match. Anyway... it would be really nice to have in the instructions what it takes to get a Heroic Charge, a Mobilization, or Divine Intervention... though I think I've figured them all out from playing, confirmation that I'm right and not putting other players through that would be good.
The Magic Trick ability of the mage is interesting: Trade her 4-match ability to create the 4-match abilities of the other two units. If the warrior is wearing light armor, that means you get two guards and a lane-clearing charge for her 4-match ability. The trade off is that she's using a mace to get it, so she doesn't have a ranged attack.
Aha! Figured out one, at least: Mobilization is when you have no more matches and hero abilities in the gaem board -- so there's nothing you could do -- you absorb all the tiles and then get a new board.
So, yeah... some Instructions that tell you what the requirements are for a Heroic Rush, and for a Mobilization, and the like? I'd guess that ZiegenkonigII is right, that it's some number of consecutive matches with one move, but confirmation and an idea of how many matches would be great.
darknyc: You need to join a guild, so the guild members can spend their craftsmen's improvement points on your carpenter shop; once it's complete, you'll have a carpenter wander in to offer his services. Maunis, you need to buy the craftsman's work area for 25000 gold in the improvements area (click on the chest at the back of the store, by the big map on the wall) and then have guildmates complete the improvement for you; you can also buy it with tokens and have it instantly ready, but that's crazy.
@WolfHack: You don't get both of the cards; you need to click on one of them to select your prize, and then click OK. (I think those types of battles do say the reward is Card 1 *or* Card 2; if not, it might need to be clearer. Maybe a big OR between the two cards on the prize screen after battle.)
To expand on the Extra Penguin: Take the Fighter Penguin as an example. It costs $230 to upgrade just one of your penguins to have all Fighter parts. It only costs $150 to get the Extra Fighter Penquin ability. At a glance, all levels are like that - The Extra Penguin of a level is cheaper than all the parts of that level (Not to mention getting to avoid the cost of hiring another penguin as well.)
Got a problem with a penguin trying to get to a target behind an obstacle? There is a button to make him change targets: the Bomb! Saying "I never bought or used the Bomb" shows that you aren't thinking about the options available to fix problems. (Also, the Extra Penguin I found invaluable; it was usually the most upgraded penguin on the field.)
@joppelarius: Don't stand on the car all the time; I hardly ever do. You're faster than the zombies, so run through them (I like to jump as I do; I imagine running across their heads) and just keep shooting. Reload is great, as it means less time not putting shots in the air. The first shotgun is fine early on; I like the various shotguns throughout as it makes it easier to hit the birds, and does a lot of damage at close range (when most of your shots hit a single zombie.)
15340757: There is a limit on attacking other players. After being attacked 4 times, the victim will gain protection for a while. Also, after losing their Town Hall, the victim will gain protection for a while.
Guess I'm going to join the No Award group; finished Normal earlier, didn't get the badge, and figured I'd come back to it later -- I've seen badges take a bit to kick in, so I know to be patient. Coming back to Kong now, it still isn't there, so I'll play it again and screenshot the win. (Happily, I already had the easy badge from ~3 years ago, so the Daily Badge popped right in.)
"Just get Superman a few times and fly to all the gems for the 50x multiplier." OK, first I need a map of the Superman icons, because I keep seeing them at the top edge of the screen as I'm passing... "Oh, damn, there goes another one." Then, Superman needs more maneuverability. Gems need to enter the screen fairly close to center for you to be able to adjust enough to hit them before you fly right past.
heh Of course, a minute or two after I post that, the game finally gives me the man of steel bronze badge, and so I get the easy badge. Still haven't gotten Loser, though.
There do seem to be some achievement / badge problems. I've let him run right down into the water at the start, finishing with a score of 306, but my Loser achievement is still locked. I've smashed several enemies in Superman mode, but that achievement is also still locked, which means I have yet to be awarded the Easy badge. I suppose I'll have to take a screenshot of my stats after a run to prove the "super kills" (I'm assuming that's the kills done while in superman mode) and submit it to the "Report Missing Achievement" link.
Probably fastest way to get the Badge of the Day is Sin + Sin. That said, it's a lot of fun putting all these combinations together, reading the wonderful quotes, and seeing the sometimes wacky pairings. (Frankenstein + Cthulhu = Friendship?)
Clicking Level Select then the level name should start the level over.
