One note about the medium badge, Bear Necessities: It's not "complete the game" meaning get to the end scene (becaues you can do that while skipping two levels through the game.) It means complete all 44 levels. Just in case someone thought about skipping a couple tough levels like I did.
@superduperfish: When you go out into the outside world, you click in a direction and start going that way. That's why you figure out your direction on the map first; so you know which way to go and don't get lost in the desert. Knowing the distance, you can gauge how much water you're going to need.
When do you reach the Land of Non-Shearing? I reached it once (silly me, didn't take a screenshot) and now I can't seem to get there again. I even used the Erase Data button to start over, and I just passed 30,000 feet and still didn't get anything.
Thank you comments that say "Go slow, be patient; the laser always goes to the bottom of the screen so going fast doesn't benefit you." That gives me some hope that this isn't simply a luck-based Hard badge (though a lot of luck wouldn't hurt.)
Hmm, already beat all 10, and it's not registering; I even tried a quick game level 1. I guess I need to replay level 10. (Or take a screenshot of the level select screen... but where's the fun in that?)
Rather than trying to lead the huge monsters to the exploding barrels, just spend the 400 credits to give your heavy marine the grenade launcher. 3 shots and you've got a dead huge monster. And since you don't need line of sight, you can start blowing them up right from turn 1.
@caleb999 Certainly. There are a number of ways, in fact. Probably the one most pushed at you by the game is to recover enough blocks and then form a new government at the city hall. There are several other ways, though.
Looks like they fixed the API; I just logged in to Server 4 and got awarded the first two badges (I'm level 29, so haven't quite unlocked the third dungeon.)
Does the easy badge "Build any 5 buildings within your castle" mean the resource generators, tech building, etc? Because I've built all of those, most up to level 3+, and havn't gotten the Easy. Time to report a missing badge, I suppose.
@OhhhYouKnow: The minigame is the part where all the characters are lined up dancing on the bottom and zombies are falling; you point the mouse at the zombies to blow them up. The goal is to blow up as many zombies as possible before one gets past to the bottom of the screen, which resets your streak counter.
@PunkZoli: It is shared. Your pary gains exp, and skill upgrade points, as a whole. When you go into the Skills menu at the top, click on other characters and you'll be able to spend your party's Upgrade Points on those other characters as well. Sounds like a powerful Ranger, though. :D
Alegsie, as much as you can, you want to keep killing off zombies in the surrounding blocks; otherwise you get overwhelmed as you saw. It's tricky, because zombie hunters going on killing missions aren't at home to defend against attacks, but it's necessary.
