simple but fun game. a couple of levels gave me minor trouble, but over all it was fairly easy. i didn't have much trouble with lag, and the cannons seemed to work fine.
If the game is laggy and you hit the upgrade button rapidly, it is very easy to put yourself into negative money. The game seems to handle it well (deducting from the total until you get back to zero) but it does allow you to upgrade before you have the cash.
If you pause while something is burning, it continues to take damage from the fire. This works both for exploding vehicles and for the flamethrower tower.
I like the game, it seems to be a decently difficult TD. The biggest fault is a save feature. If there is one, I can't find it, and after playing a ton of maps, it's very frustrating to have to start over again...
better than the first. 5/5 i like the different modes, and the yellow power/ability to recapture lost yellows makes getting hit by a red a lot less frustrating.
ownun00bs - What you wrote about the randomness of computer generated numbers is true, but they are very very very close to random. It's certainly not a pattern that a person would ever be able to pick up on. The only non-random aspects of the process are restricted values that can be chosen based on a given starting value, and those situations are fairly rare. Also, the game is highly strategy based, in addition to some chance. You have to know whether to take 2 5's or a 1 or both, for instance... When is the payoff for leaving points untaken greater than the payoff for taking them, basically.
Alright, what I had noticed is the case. Suppose you're the second player and you get to 10k on your 10th turn. The first player has already had 10 tries to get to 10k and failed, but rather than the game being over, they get an 11th try. I don't mind games of chance, and I enjoy games of chance that aren't entirely based on chance (like this) but I do prefer them to be fair.
I can't seem to win when I am paying attention to this, but does the losing person always get a chance to catch up at the end, or is it only when player 1 gets there first? It seems like that opportunity is offered every game to the loser. In that case, the game is biased toward player 1, as they always get either the same number of turns (if they get to 10k first) or an extra turn (if they don't get to 10k first.) Other than that, the game is fun. I'm not sure if I've got it in me to work on the hard badge. I love probability but playing as many times as I will have to to win is not something I'm looking forward to.
for the card and the first two badges easily, choose satan and fight anyone. just keep hitting z at the rate at which it continuously is landing. if you mash the button, you'll wind up getting injured more than if you just pick a steady pace where every shot is landing. keep him at max range for his pitchfork jab and back the enemy into a corner. you can't lose. once you have the card and two badges, quit, because the game is terrible.
This game is geographical crack. I've been getting ridiculously close to finishing 10 over and over again but I just can't crack it. I get hit with some obscure city in Chile or Argentina and I'm done for. I love it because they are easy points, but honestly, how many cities that are 'famous' exist in Reunion? There are only 800,000 people on the island...
took a minute or two to get a handle on the controls, but once that was settled, the game was a blast. (apologies) it was a little on the easy side though, money came far too freely.
right click as a cheat is possible for folks with a good sense of how the mouse is moving (make right clicking an instant death to fix). the buttons are really annoying as well (can't click text, as mentioned elsewhere.) keep working at it and it'll improve.
