wow, as mentioned definitely needs a save feature. also, some upgrades should be permanent across levels. once i've paid to upgrade my truck, it's silly to have to re-upgrade the thing each time. it's not like i'd sell my truck each time i tried to move down the street. (or my chickens, or factories, or what have you...)
it's not too bad, but the repetition is a little old and in some games the controls are a bit too sensitive (crossing the laser beams, for instance.) 3/5
another error. in completing level 14, 1 puff of steam touched a detector. that then powered the entire circuit for the rest of the level, even though no other steam got to that circuit. nothing like trying to beat a level for time and getting shafted.
weird... let's try again. i definitely thought amorphous+ when i started playing, but then again, lots and lots of fighting games have this general type. the game itself goes from ridiculously easy to insanely hard fairly quickly, and the inconsistency of the drops is such that i wind up running for my life at around 400 left on large... i'm not sure how i can kill myself in 10 seconds for one of the achievements, since the max damage i've managed to do to myself was about 1/4 or 1/5 and there is a 3 second immunity window. i'm sure it's possible, but i can't figure that one out. it's also way too easy to cheat the survival time limits by simply not firing right from the start. it would be boring as heck, but it appears that the max number of enemies that are loaded at a time is fairly small. all that said, this is definitely the best of the badge games lately...
fun game, 4/5. i'd prefer the arrow keys to asdf. that way you'd know what the rotations were intuitively instead of having to memorize a random set of instructions.
the game is fun, though it seems kinda glitchy. for instance, my robot kept walking through the first wall of barriers in the 15th level. it was pretty frustrating, but after several restarts it worked. for those griping about thermodynamics issues, who says that the amounts of power being used are constant throughout the system? perhaps it only requires a very small (but consistent) amount of power to run the machinery, or perhaps the kettles are able to run at a lower rate and still turn the steam generators. or perhaps you should just relax, since it's a game. 4/5
pretty decent game. it would be nice to have a little more tower diversity, or perhaps some variations in the missions, but it's fun to play, which is the important thing... 4/5
the last scene was really disappointing compared to early scenes. they seemed to be increasing in complexity (and fun) until then, and then it was just about walking back and forth...
JSIX, as it says, each of them must be completed within a single game, but they do not all have to be done in the same game. You can get a bunch of teleports in one, instant kills in another, and so on.
alright, i've revised my score now that i played this more. there really needs to be an option to turn the silly bouncing mushroom animation off, that's what's causing all the lag. the difficulty curve is ridiculously high and the levels are way too long. i was surprised this wasn't another gameinabottle game...
