Not a new idea, but you've done well enough :) I would prefer if the guy would run instead of walk. I lost interest very quickly just due to the speed alone.
Wow this one guy can use a pirate's wooden leg to be more effective than all of the police in London! Shame to see what's happening over there, I feel for all you Brits, but it's good that in all of the idiot teens' behaviour, you can still have a laugh!!
You should mention that "UP" is accelerate and not "right." Not sure what the cheese does, but kinda mostly just makes me want to play some cyclomaniacs more sorry :S
Pretty good, but could use some slight improvements and I'm sure it will go from a 3/5 to a 4/5. A couple from me (1) All levels should be possible by never letting go of "right" or "d" and learning how to time jumps. Unless level requires you to jump straight up like in lvl 4. (2) "a" and "d" are broken on 2nd level. (3) Have some super speed powerups and stuff as the game is supposed to focus on speed, superspeed somehow is more fun! (4) Have a timer showing gold, silver, bronze etc so you know what to aim for. (5) Maybe just improve collision physics better so that you don't jump through platforms. But really, it is a good game, but has potential to do better :) All the best with it!
Nice game. I was trying to beat it by doing the complete opposite of the instructions before I read them. But after finishing the game the right way, I was wondering if the game would be better to win by making it impossible for your opponent to place a gem...? For example. Your opponent only has one gem left and it is in the centre of a 3x3 square you have made, only slides are possible moves, therefore opponent loses.
I think that death131 is referring to "fantastic contraption" which has been on Kong for a while. Although this game has it's own direction, it might at least be worth mentioning that this game is inspired by it.
Yes if we look on that side then you are right. The game is inspired by fc game. Certainly we have not copied the game and we have different concept and a lot of unique stuff.
I like your idea of building speed with the nitro suit on (could use an explanation though as when you first get the suit you have no idea what it does and die from the turtle shell). Music is too repetitive for my taste and the controls need work. I can't get past lvl 2 simply because I have no idea how to jump high enough, nitro suit flame run thing doesn't add height so I am stumped!
Might be better balanced if the enemy had an advantage in a draw where you lose HP or MP as you have more abilities. Also better that individual dice all match up ie. your highest vs enemie's highest, your next highest vs enemies next highest, etc. Creating attack and counter attack.
I think that you should be able to use some abilities like burrow upon casting as they already have a penalty for using them. That scarab deck is just plain mean!
Good game, kept me thinking. Also on last level 27+66=93 :) Might be worth coding something that can recognise the shapes as numbers and so will award the solutions that you missed.
Wow, no one's comment is safe here... Game is ok, would make more sense to have spacebar to advance lvl as switching to mouse is annoying. Also better to have 1,2,3, or 4 pts awarded each round depending on order you are knocked off.
Good game, I found that I too easily at times came up with solutions very different to what you had intended. I'm not sure if I think this is a good thing or a bad thing, but I rarely chose the obvious path as another was always much simpler.
Great concept. I think its just a touch unbalanced to be totally addictive though. Perhaps if the costs were more reasonable, or magic was 1 per level, 2 per level etc. Also there were too many times that no matter how careful I was, I was going to get attacked multiple times either because I couldn't destroy groups of 2 grass/wheat/stone, or the group was so massive that a creature near the top was going to fall and then attack.
Thanks!
Yeah sometimes you just get unlucky and can't avoid taking a hit, but good strategy/planning goes a long way. It can often be beneficial to clear terrain above a creature and hope for new enemies to pop up and form a group.
Nothing wrong with the concept at all. I think that the only reason people are saying boring so much is level 6 should be level 2, and level 10 should be level 3, and the difficulty should rise close to that gradient. Otherwise the only challenge was keeping the mouse in the game.
Yeah...
