Idk, it seems like there are way, way too many birds, and the amount of control the player has seems too low. 80% of the time what happens to you is completely out of your control, and as I said with the birds I've actually gotten to the point where when I'm able I try to stay absolutely as low as possible. I literally hit just one bird after another after another; I'm hitting 10 in a row or more sometimes. By the time I hit the ground I'm usually basically going completely vertically because I've hit so many. Even if I happened to use my boxing glove, which is really pretty tough to do considering how tiny an amount of time we have to react, there are still so many I would simply run out of energy in no time. Oh, and this is with a 25% reduction in the effect obstacles have on me, so I don't have that many options.

I finished it...I feel terribly depressed now. I had hoped there would be a hard mode or something, but unfortunately it doesn't seem that there is.

Ok, if I when a cog reaches 1 I can 'safely let it go', why don't we go the route that isn't completely ridiculous and just have it disappear rather than letting it sit there clogging everything up and making it much more difficult to make sure you hit the cogs that actually need to be hit? Also, it doesn't take 5 damn levels to get used to the controls. It takes one, maybe two at most. No wonder people are getting bored; by the time the game started picking up I was around level 9.

I liked it, but it felt way too short and uninvolved. By the time I really even had a feel for what was going on I was already 3/4 of the way done. I still don't know how exactly resources work or if specific ones upgrade specific things or w/e, we only ever had 2 real attacks, and it just...I don't know, it felt like it had a whole, whole lot more potential than it lived up to here. I had hoped it would end up using resources a little like 'chuck the sheep', but unfortunately that didn't turn out to be the case. Also, I'm not really too sure why the dead zone for ranged attacks was necessary; I mostly just found it frustrating. What was here was alright, but as I said, it just felt way too short and lacking in depth.

Yeah, no save feature doesn't really work well. I'd say this game could stand a chance of being one of the top games of the week at the very least if it had a save feature like every other freaking game in existence. Now, with the way it is, it's struggling to even make it on the front page. Not having a save feature is just a really bad idea.

Wowza, I posted about annoying features, and yet somehow I managed to forget one of the most annoying of them all; poison! To be honest it's just an insanely dumb idea. There's nothing you can do about it. It isn't gradual, so you can't use priests to try to offset it. There isn't some unit that's immune. There is no strategic point to it whatsoever. Then, of course, we have units like rangers/rogues that end up almost useless for the harder parts of the game because shockingly poison is far too ridiculous to allow on undead, the primary enemy, since you could, ya know, just send a weak little unit out and have it get lucky and kill multiple massive ones...gee, that sounds really familiar for some reason. Again, it's not like there's some counter. It just happens. Plus it's far from rare. Just...what the hell is the point? Chances to crit or gradual damage would make some sense. An unmitigated chance to instantly kill makes absolutely none.

One thing that was a little bit annoying here was the general lack of cavalry units, both on our side and on the enemy side. There are about 8 gazillion different units that use spears and yet we have 3 total cavalry units, but more much more importantly 1/4 of our units are spear users despite the fact that the enemy really fairly rarely uses cavalry units. Also, due to the fact that 17 (18 maybe, since I guess the siege crossbow isn't infantry) out of our 20 units are infantry, it kind of makes it difficult to counter enemies who have +dam to infantry. Speaking of which, where the heck did the 'lancer' unit come from? I don't recall having it upon finishing the game, and yet now that I'm on legendary all of a sudden it's there. I think a heavy spear cavalry with deflect like that would have come in handy the first time around.

I like it. I found some annoyances such as when trying to draw closely to one of the little dudes sometimes my line would get stuck and wouldn't draw anymore and I'd have to restart, which lends itself to the even larger issue of the simple need for a eraser, but aside from those small sorts of things it was pretty good. Allowing you to draw a straight line by clicking on two separate spots was a welcome feature indeed.

Aha brubes! Impossible? No, for I just beat the level with 0 deaths. Pulling-my-hair-out-in-clumps frustrating? Oh my god yes. Without a doubt. Some other levels have been a bit tough to get 0 deaths on, but 42 was just unreal, especially because I would almost always die 3/4 of the way through the level (usually after hitting the red laser thing and trying to go down through the pass where the flames are on either side but I've already used up most of the disappearing blocks). It is, in fact, possible though.

I think our jelly should get to working out or taking jelly martial arts lessons or something, because all the other jellies seem to be able to beat his ass without much of a problem. Then again now that I think of it I'm not sure if jellies have asses...Anyways, this game reminded me very much so of meatboy in every aspect, including the frustrating controls that make the necessary precision even harder to attain than it normally would be. I've never been able to put a finger on what exactly it is that makes the controls so difficult to use, but I get the feeling it has to do with the difference between air and ground control and the speed of acceleration for each being inconsistent with eachother and generally counter-intuitive. Other than that it's an awesome game. I love the little green guy so much I can't bring myself to use anyone(anything?) else.

I'm really sort of confused as to how to 'charge' the warp drive. I've tried playing through levels and beating bosses with it equipped and yet nothing is happening. You can't upgrade it in the shop either, so that doesn't exactly leave a lot of options for how to do it. I've kept the dumb thing around for the entire game, I'll be kind of disappointed. Also, if late game weapons are allegedly not meant to be far superior to earlier weapons, then I'm not sure why they cost many, many times more to buy/upgrade resulting in experimentation with them not being cheap by any means.

One issue I've found is that, like meownomnom, I have an issue where a loading screen/slideover thing begins when I click on something and it gets all the way to around 90% of the way then stops. Then I have to refresh to make it work. The problem is this has happened around 5 or 6 times in a relatively short period, which is rather frustrating. Having to refresh once or twice isn't the end of the world, but it gets really annoying when the number of instances in which I've had to do so begins approaching the double digits.
