"The book isn't tall enough. I need to stack more objects to reach the top."
Dang. If only there were some... some object... I could... use... like... stone blocks. Or a chair. Or a mattress.
"You'll need to complete this in 45 seconds." *Takes 1:23* "Not bad Sierra. I can see why there's special interest in you. Also have a lollipop, because you're special just for being you."
I also really liked the yellow strings - they're almost too good with how versatile they are, which I guess is why they're so rare. But if the entire game was yellow, that'd be pretty cool, because you can have 1 block on a yellow string and manipulate another with just part of it.
*King joins me* "I've heard you are a great shopkeeper! Show me what you can do!" *I refuse every customer* "You are worthy to sit at my side! 4.0/4.0!"
A lot of this is great. The only super frustrating thing is that either Joe or the red X boxes have a bigger hitbox than they appear, and Joe explodes even when I don't touch them, or land on the platform beside them.
Great game. I was hoping there'd be a joke if I just hopped back in the ship without saving anyone, but no. :sigh: On another note, I think there was a puzzle I did an unintentional way, because there's a room I've never gone through, and have no clue how to do. In a room you enter from above, with 2 bombs, where 1 is riding a conveyor belt right, you can land on a platform, wait for the bomb to fall, and swap with it.
With this game's release, I finally feel like I understand what's going on in this plot. The lake seems to be some sort of in-between place. The woman in the first few games died, and was taken to the lake, where Mr. Crow processed her. Her good memories were made into white cubes, bad ones into black. Then she got the chance to fix her bad memories and make turn them into good ones. Same thing happened to Mr. Detective. But there are shadows in the inbetween place that are unhappy ghosts, and they'll kill anyone they come into contact with, possibly to try to steal life from them, or just for revenge. I think most people start as shadows, and return to themselves after successfully changing their old memories.
I was wondering if the newer games were easier or I was getting more used to Rusty Lake's style, but coming back and playing this game reminded me that the newer games are definitely easier, and I'm glad.
I have this doll with batteries, maybe I can unscrew it to get the batteries... no? Ok, how about I rub it against the control panel, maybe that'll work. Wait, it did?!
