"Indestructible Bunker".... yeah, that's bullshit when you build one and it gets blown up right away with all your guys inside by a simple mortar german. Bunkers were invented to resist mortar attacks and anything short of a specialized bomb which the Americans invented to destroy bunkers. I may be a Major now, but I'm pretty done with this whole experience. This game is, as aptly described in the random comments across the screen, a troll.
To the Engineer that ran off across the battlefield to try to kill one guy instead of building the trench I requested four waves ago.... you're the reason America lost the war. I hope you're happy in hell.
Pros: Massive pixel armies that could be ships or troops or planes or whatever. Numerous levels, hard challenges.
Cons: Pixel armies randomly merge, difficult to control, pixel armies stop every single time another army comes in range, and computer seems to be able to get a magic amount of pixels out of its ass. Also, flanking only works when it feels like it, making strategy way more difficult than it would normally be.
Yes, this is a rapid tactical game. The description aptly states this. But it's really more of a free for all where tactics barely happen and mayhem runs rampant. I'll give it 3/5 because controls were unpleasant, but otherwise it was an enjoyable experience.
It's always a let down to finally grind the gold to get that awesome upgrade that you paid so many bloonstones for just to find out that it's too expensive to use in-game before the rounds run out or the rushes become too loaded with rainbow bloons to stop. While I still enjoy this game, it's not as fun as it was earlier on when things were reasonably affordable. Leave out Super Monkey for a moment, Arctic Wind being 7200 or so is a pain to get, and then I think about how long it's going to take to get 100k city cash just to get the Ray of Doom... which I probably won't get to use in most battles even with 4 farms at 3/0 because I'm either losing money on the investment that's supposed to make money, or I'm rushed to death long before it turns profitable. Costs could use a little tweaking is all I'm saying, because DDTs cost nothing but stopping them costs a fortune for small returns.
That was a fun day of fighting fires, waking up lazy employees, fighting fires, waking up lazy employees, figthing fires, breaking up fights, fighting fires, waking up lazy employees, and fighting fires. I hope the next one is not all about waking up lazy employees and fighting fires lol
Well, did everything I was supposed to do, even reconnected, played through the game 5 times, and no achievement get. I also flipped the elephant around on the title screen and played through twice, and still nothing. Looks like I'm not getting the shiny kongpanion this week. Badge of the day decision making process needs to have a little less will-nilly.
"Over 6 hours of gameplay" Would be like 1 if it weren't for the godawful lack of object pools and recurring data dumps. Been two weeks and there's still no change, but hey! We have level 20, right? That's... that's good, isn't it? I mean, the perfect runner doesn't have things like smooth gaming or better user experience. It's all about.... having level 20. And ignoring the community it's posted to. Right! -nod-
This was the premier game for Kongpanions? I'm not thrilled at all. It's another custom mapfest with too many people trying to get you to show off your "ZOMG L337 JUMPING SKILLZ LOLOLOLOL!!" I'm sorry, but this is too grindy and broken to be any fun. Kongpanions don't work, there's indescribable lag (on a beast machine even) and I'd have more fun playing Happy Wheels, which is what this sort of genre always reminds me too much of.
Been playing for a week now and it's a fun game, sure, but once you get a ways in you start running into impossible levels that say "Medium" or even "Easy". I'm no slouch when it comes to Bloons TD (as those sharing contested territory with me can vouch for), but the problem I'm having is too many bloons rushing through and absolutely no way to put up enough of a multi-shot wall to stop them. No way at all. Oh sure I could use 300 or so bloonstones per level just to get that win, but it's really a waste of my money to do that. I thought "Well, maybe I need to research more upgrades?" So I did. Lemme tell you - T3? Generally too expensive for the very short amount of time you have for getting the upgrade in battle. You can sell your other towers, but now you've got 1 T3 trying to hold the line against 1k ceramic bloons. Not possible, and with dartling AND farm locked out on the same battle, I don't see how I can pull this off.
Still a fun game, and I will win. Somehow.
Myths has been out for about a year now? And everyone has the same build now. "Zamaroth Mythic with Ok'Karoz Hammer, Ceriphyran Shield, Ancient or "Bomb Armor", and King's Necklace of Death". And usually like 30 some odd Misform Mythics or more. It's kind of silly, because once you figure out how to get by the obligatory "Anti-Magic Field" and "Anti-Tech Field" they've started using on every formation, it's quite easy to win. So much for that ultimate build, eh?
After 15 minutes of playing this it started to lag. Bad. Now, I see the tagline of "Requires a powerful computer"... my friend, I have an FX-6300 with an NVidia GeForce 670 GTX and 16gb of DDR3 Ripjaws RAM. I'm running Win7 Pro on a 256gb SSD. My system is powerful, probably the most powerful you can build for under $1,400. You're telling me you require more power than that, more power than Dead Rising 3? For a Flash game? No, my friend, you need to have your program dump accumulated calculations between levels, because it's piling on data every single playthrough and not releasing it. Fix the problem, don't pass the buck - you're better than that. I appreciate what you're trying to do with this game, but you can't release something this broken and then blame it on the players. Kong giving you badges doesn't mean you did it right.
Buggy, laggy, grindy.... not sure why this has badges, nor why it's part of the Badge quest. I get that it's supposed to be cute and stuff, but it's hard to appreciate that cuteness when the game barely works.
This has been a fun ride for months now, but I'm to the point where I'm going have to stop playing for a while. It's become a tremendous chore to reset the game just to collect my angel investors and progress back to where I was beforehand. It's not like I'm saying the game has gone bad, but the problem is like this... it needs a buy 1,000x option at this point, and the upgrades are now so numerous that it takes five minutes to upgrade everything back to where it was. While it's true I could spend some money and buy some Kreds for the insta-gain, it's an option I choose not to take when there's plenty of room to add an option into the game as it stands. We can either have a rapid purchase for upgrades, or a higher purchase amount of businesses... or both!
Anyway, these are just Septquinquagintillionaire problems, I suppose. I might be the only one with the complaint and if that's fine, so be it. This is a suggestion box, though.
It's good. I maxxed out everything and now I'm waiting to move on to the Local Group. In the words of the King of All Cosmos: "Needs to be bigger, yes?"
I seriously believe this coal I am collecting is going to come in very useful at the end of the event. Coal is one of the major reasons Capitalism itself became a successful concept for societal framework, therefore receiving coal in a game paying homage to Capitalism will have a powerful reward for anyone who corners the market.
If we're staying true to form, of course. Otherwise I'll have a bunch of coal and I won't have to worry about whether my steam engine will run.
I had fun with this one like I did with the last one, but as far as winning goes I never will be able to. If not for the consistently bad luck events I get, the fact that I will never find a way of getting 2,000,000 production points in under 150 turns is a damper on the situation. 1,000,000 I can more readily understand, but getting 2mil is one of those things I couldn't pull off even when I put full focus on production at the expense of tribal safety and population and so forth.
Still a fun concept and enjoyable, but if production goals are going to be set so high they should be a little more obtainable. When I play normal I don't expect the impossible, you know?
This game is pretty interesting in the fact that I'm envisioning myself as a Precursor that seeds all the worlds with life and harvests them for my own sustenance. I kind of wish some of the worlds would be friendly and worship as the race of god-beings I am, but I guess that's asking too much of lesser sentients. No mortal can truly comprehend the nature of the gods, after all.
